What customers say
Solway Holiday Park: Mostly great! Clean facilities, friendly staff, loads to do, good food. Nice coastal location. Watch out for muddy pitches after rain and occasional noise. Upgrades are ongoing and appreciated.

Powered grass campsite
Liked Really enjoyable stay and very clean, very quiet at night which is ideal for those with young families
Disliked Wasn't informed no kids entertainment would be on due to mod festival and the directions to the touring pitches weren't clear enough for when we arrived at night-time. Could be doing with having clearer lit up directions. No security at entry to park.

Liked We’ve just come back from a weekend camping at Solway Holiday Park, and honestly, this place is a hidden gem. There were six of us in total, including three kids, and we all had an absolutely fantastic time.
The tenting area is beautiful – loads of space, very scenic, and perfect for setting up camp without feeling crowded. The facilities were excellent too: the showers and toilets were spotless and well maintained, which makes such a difference when camping.
On top of that, the entertainment and activities on site are easily 5-star. There’s plenty to keep both adults and kids happy, and the staff really go above and beyond to make sure everyone is having a good time.
If you haven’t been to Solway Holiday Park yet, I’d highly recommend it. It’s top notch – a brilliant spot for families, groups, or anyone just wanting a great camping getaway.
Disliked Nothing - maybe the weather but still amazong

Would Def return and recommend but summer only due to boggy pitches
Powered grass campsite
Liked Loads of facilities, shower/toilet blocks spotless, prices ok in the shop for a park shop, staff very friendly, plenty of space between touring pitches
Disliked It's like a maze, and very dark on the pitches, the drainage for flooding needs upgraded, our pitches were water logged and like a mud bath

Knock the showers down and start from scratch
Powered grass campsite
Liked The location of the whole site
Disliked The toilets there was no where to get properly undressed otherwise your clothes will get wet while the shower was running bad planning tbh knock the showers down and start from scratch you pay premium rates to stay and the facilities should reflect that

As it was after summer holidays…
Powered grass campsite
Liked As it was after summer holidays it was nice and quiet especially in camping / touring.
- Clean Facilities
- Borders restaurant great, really good breakfast
- Nice staff, entertainment team lovely!
- Can tell it’s maintained well, often see the groundskeepers mowing lawns/tidying
- Motorbike museum was mint & nearby
- Quiet little holiday place and small town, Mario’s pizza nearby was also lush
Disliked Was supposed to be no bbqs or fire pits but saw quite a few, would have been ideal but we didn’t bring ours as we were told they were not allowed
- Pool was very small, looked a lot bigger in photos which was a disappointment
- Didn’t see any security patrolling at all - even when it was quite loud after 11pm with a couple parties
- Quite a few pitches were just muddy ditches, big puddles - can’t really be helped though haha
