What customers say
Great spot near Wooler village. Clean, friendly staff, lovely riverside setting & family fun (pool, play areas). Good value overall, though loos & showers are a bit dated.

Wouldn't be in a rush to come back, this site could be a lot better.
Powered concrete slab caravan site
Liked Location, a good base for exploring north Northumberland and the borders.
Disliked Standard of the pitches and touring facilities are below par, pitches could have been a lot better presented, not a great deal of grounds maintenance being done, pitches not very well defined and too close together, water points were not well maintained with blocked drains, the touring pitches are definitely the poor relation on this site, the touring facilities, (toilets and showers), are well past their best definitely in need of major refurbishment

A great campsite, we really enjoyed our stay.

Liked We had a great pitch with loads of space for our van and awning, the cost was well worth it for an electric hook up pitch. The onsite facilities were clean and checked regularly. There was a great atmosphere onsite and the ducks were just the cutest!
Disliked The club house was small for the amount of people that went across to it. We appreciate we were there during the school holidays but kids were running round unsupervised - maybe just having an adult only area for people who were there without children might be an idea

Liked This is the second time I have been to this site as a single female with a toddler.
Very easy check in with lovely friendly staff and lovely pitches, lots of space for playing on bikes, a lovely park and entertainment with pool just a short walk along the river which is very picturesque.
Also only 5 minutes walk into into Wooler town with has a few shops, pubs, cafes, and takeaways which is convenient.
Thank you, we will definitely be back again

Liked Staff are very friendly and helpful. The grounds around the static caravans are beautifully kept. There is a nice sunny sitting area outside the pub.
Disliked I’m not a whinger but I feel I need to be honest with things I didn’t like on this occasion. The touring area is quite small which is also reflected in the size of many of the pitches. Once a caravan put up an awning there was little space to park a car, which resulted in random cars parked on any spare bit of grass, either local to the owners van or somewhere else. Much of the touring site is taken up by seasonal pitches, with the resulting fences, storage boxes, bbq areas etc, which all takes up otherwise parking areas. In the area we were in our neighbours were constantly playing loud music, shouting or arguing with each other, although it did quieten down at 23.00 hours. We did in fact meet some really nice people during our stay, they were not all rowdy. There is a lake on site where it is claimed contains fish. In the time we were there I did not see any sign of life in it except for ducks, possibly due to the large amount of duck crap which was all over the place and in the lake. The toilet facilities are tired and in much need of renovation. Sorry to sound negative but I speak as I find.

From the manager: Thanks for your honest and thoughtful review. We're really pleased you appreciated the friendly staff, well-kept grounds, and sunny pub area—those are things we’re proud of.
We’re sorry to hear the touring area didn’t meet expectations this time. Your feedback on pitch sizes, parking, noise levels, and facilities is valuable and will be shared with the team. It’s important to us that all guests feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience.
