Μου άρεσε Great stop not far from San Sebastian. Opportunity to explore Zumaia as well which has a good beach and lovely old town that you might not normally visit as well as some excellent restaurants. The site is well served with on site shop and great shower / washing areas, unfortunately the restaurant was shut when we visited.

Δεν μου άρεσε They show a footpath from the top of the site to town, at the far end it passes under a railway bridge with a lot of broken glass, not ideal for dogs, the Riverside walk accessed from the site entrance is far more attractive.

We’re sorry the restaurant was closed during your stay, as it is not managed directly by the campsite and has its own opening schedule. Μου άρεσε Goede organisatie en goed verzorgde faciliteiten als douche,wc etc. Ligging van de camping is mooi.

June 04 pitch faces rear of shower block so no views . recommend a pitch higher up .

Μου άρεσε Staff were very helpful and assisted wherever they could to make our stay a good one. It was shoulder season and restaurant was open for Thursday, Friday and Sat. Food and service was very good. Location of the site was good. A short and pleasant walk along the river brought you into the town. The rail station was nearby and you could very conveniently and for a few euros, catch the train into San Sebastián. Much easier than driving. Shower and toilet block was modern, clean and well maintained. The block included a laundry and dishwashing facilities.

Δεν μου άρεσε The site comprises of terraces on fairly steep slope. Manoeuvring a caravan can be a bit tricky around the corners so care is needed. The pitches are also tight and we could not park and have an awning on the pitch at same time. We were able to park in a designated car park outside the caravan site. The WC disposal area wasn’t good. It used a slightly archaic drain at ground level with a fold over lid. There was no water barrier (odour trap) and when it was busy with serving campervans the dreadful smell permeated throughout the nearby pitches. There was also a freshwater hose (to replenish campervans) immediately beside it and people (innocently) used it to clean their toilet cassettes. I watched one person actually insert the hose end into their cassette. Our previous site had a purpose designed disposal point which was excellent. If the WC disposal is going to be close to pitches it really should be more sanitary. In fact I’m not convinced that the WC disposal isn’t connected (one and the same in other words) to the nearby grille for grey water waste. If it is, then it’s basically an open drain. A lady I spoke to seemed to believe they were one and the same.

As you mention, our campsite is arranged on terraces along a hillside, so manoeuvring a caravan around some of the bends can require extra care, and the layout of certain pitches may limit the space available for an awning and a vehicle together. We’re glad we could offer you an alternative parking space.

Thank you also for bringing your concerns about the chemical toilet disposal area to our attention. We take hygiene and the correct use of our service points seriously, and your comments are valuable in helping us review these facilities and how they are used.
