Positiv Lovely site. The owners were great , we had a puncture when we arrived and they couldn't do enough for us, even took the wheel to the garage to get it fixed.
Will definitely be back next year

Negativ Not a dislike really, but the water wasn't hot enough to wash up in.

Negativ It was very disappointing that this site would not consider transferring our booking to a later date. We were visiting the area to attend a concert which was postponed until February. The site owner would not allow us to transfer our booking. As both dates were out of season I found this a little unreasonable and disappointing. Even a 50%discount would have shown goodwill. It is doubtful that we will rebook. It also was very difficult to contact site to advise of our need to cancel.

Positiv Helpful, friendly host. Well-kept site with lovely views, set amongst rolling hills and a lovely place for us to begin our first motorhome adventure. Good, hot showers. Lovely village pub walkable from the site as well as the delights of Symondsbury Estate (café, shops, gallery) and nerarby walks. Delicious complimentary cake, cream and teabags on arrival! Thank you!

Negativ Some road noise but didn't deter from our overall enjoyment which cannot be helped and is surrounded by tall hedges which do help.
Heating would be welcome in the shower/toilet block in colder climate.

Positiv Nice little site with great views and close to Bridport. Bus stop a few minutes down the road. Only stayed the one night and didn't get to meet the owners.

I think we spent £3 on the electric for the 1 day we were there and there was still some left over. Compared to other sites that charge around £6 per pitch for EHU,  this was the better option.

The traffice noise was not a problem and we hardley noticed it. Certainly didn't hear anything during the night or the in morning.

Negativ None really. We cannot comment on the toilets as they were locked with a combination lock. I am sure if we had contacted the owners we could have got the combination.

Positiv The site is very quiet, attractive, well cared for with excellent facilities and beautiful views - it is within walking distance of Bridport, close to lovely beaches & good walking …..

Positiv Another great visit to Ernie's Plot. Pitches have been upgraded with new level shingle. A dedicated outdoor pot wash sink has also been added. Facilities remain super clean and a good standard. We only used £1 of electric in our VW camper during a 3 night stay! I only wish more sites charged electricity on a pay as you go basis. Nic was extremely welcoming as always and her lovely dogs Willow and Fern are as friendly and cute as ever. Thanks again for a lovely stay and of course the tea and cake with fresh cream as part of the welcome pack which we enjoyed on our dedicated picnic bench on our pitch! Beautiful Bridport centre is only a 1 mile walk away from the site and the gorgeous Dorset countryside and beaches can be accessed via walks from the site or just a short drive or bus ride if you prefer. We will return again.

Positiv The site is a small site with an open look over fields and hills and trees. There are sheep and chickens and ducks to see opposite. The site is well maintained and very tidy. The amenities were clean and secure. Well placed for getting around the area.
Would recommend to a friend as a base for travelling around.
We wouldn't stop again due to noise from road and the constant van door banging, shouting and noise from people in layby directly behind site who seemed to be living there all week .

Negativ It was difficult to get the MH level due to the uneven level. The other pitches certainly looked more level than our pitch so we may have drawn the short straw in allocation .
The noise from the A road was constant. The noise from the people parked up all week in the layby directly behind the hedge was constant.
The owners dogs kindly woke us barking whilst running around the site early in the morning.
There was dog poo on our pitch when we arrived and two lots on the grass opposite, although the instructions are that dogs must be kept on a lead.(We didn't bring a dog). The electricity was extremely expensive (we did £5 per day/night using our own shower,fridge and lights) NO HEATING. during winter this could work out very expensive. You also had to pay for use of site shower if you didn't use your own.

Positiv We had a lovely six-night stay with some truly memorable views—sitting outside the caravan in the evenings, soaking in the countryside and watching the wildlife was a real highlight. There’s a charming pub just a five-minute walk away, and the site has great access to the road network in order to explore Dorset

There are some beautiful walks straight from the campsite—definitely try the one to the beach. It’s a bit hilly, but absolutely worth it. The pitch sizes are generous, and with no one directly in front of us, the views remained completely uninterrupted.

We spent just £16 on electric over the six days, even with the heating on for a couple of chilly nights. The owners were friendly and welcoming, often passing by with their dogs for a quick hello without ever overstaying their welcome.

The little honesty shop on site is a lovely touch. We didn’t need it as we brought our own supplies, but it was reassuring to know it was there. The showers and toilets were spotless—top marks for cleanliness.

Our only minor gripe was having to pitch the awning on the hard standing rather than grass, but that’s just personal preference. One thing to be aware of: there is quite a bit of traffic noise between 7am and 9pm. It was noticeable on the first night, but we soon got used to it and it didn’t bother us much after that.
