Positiv Everything about the site, the facilities and the people.
Also the local pub serving excellent (but pricey food)

Negativ The location in that it is not easy to access the village and the site as roads are small and narrow often single track.
Best approach is via the Greenslade estate.
As such the access to food is very limited.

We advise that guests see our website for directions using sat nav will often give routes which are suitable for cars but not motorhomes or towing vehicles. The route we give is used regularly by articulated lorries, buses and indeed our own and others agricultural equipment so should be fine. Whilst the village pub is popular there are numerous other options some within walking distance, some a short drive. Companies also offer a takeaway service which can be delivered to the site. Various options are displayed on our notice board and we are always happy to give directions if needed.

Positiv Good size pitch with water and electric on pitch.
Walk to excellent farmshop with cafe

Negativ Washrooms and washing up facilities in need of updating.
Shower rails in laundry room very rusty.
Road noise, for a country lane there is a fair bit of traffic during the night.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Thank you for your review and for visiting our site. We are a basic campsite with basic facilities and our pricing structure reflects this. We are in the process of decorating the facilities but this has paused until the site is quieter. The shower block is well maintained and cleaned to a high standard daily .We have one row of pitches which are adjacent to a road but separated from it by a well established hedge this road can be busy at peak times. These pitches are however very popular as they benefit from the afternoon sun. We are always happy to move guests to different pitches should they request it and if there is availability. We are pleased that you liked your pitch size ,utilities provided and enjoyed a walk to the Farm shop.

Negativ Lack of facilities one disabled toilet which everyone uses even though there's 4 normal toilets available and no shower in there. And two showers for able bodied men and 1 for ladies

Positiv Layout and facilities good and fairly priced The facilities were cleaned daily and were spotless

Negativ Two days of muck spreading could have been pre warned, we know it's a working farm but must know what they're doing in a week.
Maybe some kind access security would have been reassuring.

We are indeed a working farm and sadly activity on the farm is dictated by seasons and weather conditions not what we decide to do on the day or indeed the week. We are a small site and have cctv in operation. We have and are still exploring entry/exit options but the layout of the site make this is little complicated.

Positiv Spacious defined pitches with water tap on each, nice quiet environment despite it being a working farm. Close location to end of M5 so quick to get to, some road noise, but nothing that disturbed us and we are light sleepers. Whilst (as others have said) the toilets are a little dated, they are kept clean and are well set out with plenty of space in a purpose built building and much better than some sites portacabin arrangements, so don’t be put off by those comments. Good value for money and close to several lovely villages and good pubs. Whilst we didn’t pre-book for an awning, this was not a problem and we just paid the extra to the owners during the stay. Spacious unisex showers next to indoor washing up sink, two other washing up sinks outside which proved very helpful when you have dogs.
