Positiv Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Had absolutely everything you need and more.

Beverley and her husband were so friendly and accommodating. On our first afternoon they let our little boy drive one of the tractors, and he hasnt stopped talking about it since. Keeps telling everyone it was his favourite part of our holiday!

Can't fault it. Great stay from start to finish. We'll be back.

Positiv Beverley and Anthony are the most welcoming and accommodating campsite owners we have ever come across! Great local pub recommendation and incredibly friendly owners. Would come back again next year 😁

Positiv Absolutely everything. From the lovely wide open space, the clean facilities,the approximity to local shops petrol etc to the tea and coffee shack but mostly the outstanding loveliness of the lady who runs the site. So helpful and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again! Plus I've never seen stars like it on a clear night , amazing.

Positiv Brilliant, host was lovely. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Basic showers and toilets. Sink for washing up. The kids loved watching the animals being fed.

Positiv Amazingly friendly and helpful owners. Location was great for us, short drive to where we wanted to explore.
We arrived august bank holiday weekend so it was incredibly busy which definitely pushed the capacity of the toilets and showers, but the owners were constantly replacing toilet roll and keeping them clean. However it was cold showers for the weekend. We stayed until the Tuesday when suddenly the site was empty and it was stunningly beautiful to have the site pretty much to ourselves and a hot shower finally!
We’d definitely love to stay again, but would avoid bank holiday weekend next time!

Negativ The only dislikes would be no hot water for washing up..not a deal breaker for us but pitchup facitilies list states it has a washing up area which may be important for some to note it’s only cold water.

One additional downside is lack of recycling bins. When we left, we pulled black bin bags of empty glass bottles out of the rubbish area to take home with us to recycle. I know it’s an individual’s responsibility and other people could take their recycling home, but one improvement for the the site would be to make it easy for guests to recycle and have appropriate bins.

Positiv Friendliness of the owners was second to none. Always there to help. Very clean campsite will definitely go back. Kids had a brill time. Location brilliant, about 20 mins drive from Coniston lake. About 2 minutes drive to the nearest shop. Owners kept noise to a minimum from other campers.

Positiv Location is ideal, owners are lovely and accommodating, little tuck shop and option to rent a firepit/buy wood. Facilities are brilliant.

Negativ Only thing to improve on would be more showers/toilets as queues form due to amount of people camping as opposed to the amount of toilets/showers
