Camping at Hayfield

Me gustó Great hosts! So welcoming and informative. Loaaaads of space to pitch up - we went for the spot at the top of the hill and had such a mega view (and some lovely neighbors 🐄🐮)
Toilets and showers were well maintained.
Little shop was a great addition - can get snacks as well as the hire of a fire pit.

Me gustó We have used this site a couple of times, we really like the space and the friendly owners, the children love the goats. We will hopefully be back next season.

Me gustó The most warmest of welcomes to a lovely large well maintained site/field. Love the quirky refreshments trailer.

The hosts were around often and took the time to speak to us as "would-be" friends rather than paying guests. As far as first impressions go, they cannot get any better than that!

We wanted a windbreak as it was gusty when setting up. Beverley tried hard for us ringing a local shop enquring if they had had any. She offered possible suggestions on where to go but we had no joy. Returning to the site, there was one placed by our pitch complete with mallet left behind by previous guests that they had took time to search for and find. Such a simple gesture but it struck a very positive chord with us.

The facilities are basic; portaloos, showers and cold water washing up area. We love "back to basics" so suited us perfectly. The portaloos are spotless, cleanest I've seen. Back end of the six weeks school holidays and they looked brand new and untouched.

We loved our time here; simple, charming, clean and scenic - we will make a point of returning.

Me gustó Owners were super friendly even gave us a lift to the pub after our battered feet from just finishing the Cumbria Way! The ground was lovely and facilities were super clean
