Negativ The pitched were on stone and not attractive. Was told to go pick a pitch on arrival as none allocated. Drove round with most with reservations on them only 2 spots out of 30 free. Site not really for children very quiet

Positiv We love everything, from the greeting on arrival to the pitch size (premium). The staff out and about were friendly and helpful. Location was good to Ambleside and surrounding areas. Toilets, showers were spotless at all times. The laundry area was an added bonus. Also a library, thought of everything.

Negativ I would have like the shop to be open a bit longer in the evening but not a deal breaker.

Positiv What an amazing campsite, staff were so friendly and courteous, always smiling and helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them, they location was outstanding, so many beautiful walks, the park itself is spotless, toilets and showers are very well maintained and spacious, play area for the kids was the best on any site we have stayed on, the shop was very well stocked with everything you need, fresh bread delivered daily,
We will definitely be returning

Positiv Lovely clean facilities, never an issue with the toilets or showers. Beautiful site, that is clearly well looked after. The park and its facilities are fantastic. Would definitely return and recommend.

Negativ The shop could be done with staying open a little longer. We didn’t bring the correct pegs a not getting the awning up would have been disastrous as our van was full. We called the warden, who was as helpful as he could be and said we needed different pegs but we couldn’t get any them as the shop was shut. Over the stay there was a few times we could have used the shop but as it shut at 17:30 we always missed out.

Positiv The site is in a beautiful location with really good pitches. The water pressure was excellent and the facilities including the onsite shop was brilliant.

Negativ If you need signal or WiFi you can forget about it. It is very poor!
It got very noisy with dogs constantly barking and kids screaming.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with the WiFi and noise during your stay. As we're in a rural location, WiFi and mobile signal can be variable and unfortunately cannot be guaranteed. We do make guests aware of this at check-in, as both our WiFi service and mobile coverage can be affected by the surrounding landscape and individual network providers.

We're also sorry that noise from other guests impacted your stay. We have a warden on duty specifically to help with issues such as excessive noise, barking dogs, or disturbances, and we do wish you'd contacted us at the time so we could have investigated and done our best to resolve the situation for you.
