Positiv Were to start.. the staff were all lovely especially the young guy in shop. The restaurant was clean shop was clean and stocked . The toilets were spotless warm and inviting. Loved the antique store were we met Molly the dog. Shop worker was lovely she was great with my younger son who loves collecting old money. The garden centre had a great range of flowers at reasonable price. The farm animals were so cute you could walk up and see them at any time. They were very friendly. The pigs were great one rolled over to scratch his belly. The wee billy goats were so cute they all came running up to see us. We were placed on grass part next to the road. I had read the reviews before hand regarding the noise but it didn't bother us at all. There were wee rabbits and ducks everywhere just going about there own business. It was great to see. All in all my husband my nine year old and I loved this place and will certainly be back.

Negativ U have to buy electric card I got ten pounds on it I only used £1.85 I couldn't get a refund as I had to leave early and the shop doesn't open till nine. The barrier on way out needs a code and I lost it I had to find another camper awake to get code usually it's only inwards u need code.the restaurant bit dear especially for a cake and coffee

Positiv Great location, very friendly site, close to Barnard castle, clean showers and facilities. The scotch eggs are Devine. Lots to choose from in the shop

Positiv The pitch was lovely and clean and the toilet block looked refurbed and very modern with rainfall showers.

Positiv All the facilities were clean and in great condition. Restaurant and shop were amazing. Kids loved soft-play and all the animals around the site. Going back for sure.

Positiv The facilities are very clean and well looked after.
Lovely campsite for kids as have kids play park and a lot of animals, kids loved the farm area.
There is a softplay but we never needed to use this.
Showers and toilets were well maintenanced which is key for camping.

Negativ This isn’t about the campsite but something to bear in mind it is beside a busy road so the traffic noise can be heard. So if you are wanting peaceful the road noise did prevent us from having a good sleep. We had to go and buy sound proof headphones for sleeping. Like I say this isn’t the camp site fault but something to bear in mind.

Positiv Nice friendly staff good atmosphere

Negativ To close to the A66 noise of traffic all day and night ,No Internet signal poor phone reception no wifi on site few noisy neighbours letting kids making noise after 10pm

Positiv Great campsite for kids. Nice play area and big open field in the middle of the camping area which all the kids played together at.

Farm animals on site which the girls anyone’s spanking time walking around the area.

Pitches are ideal size and surface in a peaceful setting
It’s wonderful to see with upgrading and modernisation that originality has still been kept and that rustic feel is still present very impressed with site and will definitely return
Toilet block is outstanding from the outside to in , if any one with young children or disabled these blocks are amazing
Top quality produce in the shop and restaurant , Sunday carvery was outstanding and service fab
Very well ran site with great staff
There is absolutely a bit of everything on the site to have a wander round
Our granddaughter loved going to see all the animals , the walk way around them is really well laid out and kept , she didn’t want to leave
