Ketch Caravan Park

Positiv This a real find of a campsite close to a shop,bus stop, restaurant x2 and a host of walks direct from the site. Whilst being a fairly quiet area with only minor traffic noise. Bathrooms were clean and the water hot. Good sized pitches for your units. Gorgeous walk into Worcester city centre Cathedral parks etc . Very helpful and welcoming owners.

Negativ Only dislike was the showers which are operated by push button and run for only short few seconds. I understand this has to be to save precious water, however as I suffer with arthritic hands the pressure required was almost impossible. Not the campsites fault but there was also a crow scarer in an ajacent field which fired every hour which was rather annoying and would of meant if we had still had our gun shy dog with us we wouldnt of been able to stay.

Positiv Excellent location, close to local amenities and town yet your on the river bank.

Negativ Having to punch a code in to access the main gates to the site and to use the facilities ie..toilet and showers yet anybody can walk through the site from the river bank walking path!
Shame couldn't actually see the river from the front row pitches due to the river bank being overgrown. Still a lovely spot and would definitely look to stay again for a weekend in the near future.
Toilet and shower block needs to have windows that actually open during very hot days as its like a furnace in there also fresh air is a must for busy toilets.

Our main gates are coded to help ensure a warm welcome for our guests, while allowing access only to visitors who have booked with their vehicle. The toilet facilities are also protected by a code, so they remain available for our paying guests rather than walkers who happen to stray from the public footpath which runs along the river.
Over the past month, we’ve been taking part in “No Mow May” to support pollinator conservation and biodiversity. We’ve now started gently trimming back the riverbanks in readiness for the fishing season, which begins on 15 June, so our guests can make the most of our free fishing pegs.

Positiv The site is very secure with a big gate which needs a code to enter and exit.
The pitches are nicely spaced out and all have river views.
The toilet and shower block is brandy new and spottless.
The owners are lovely, very chatty and helpful.
Lovely 2 mile walk into Worcester along the river bank.
A very handy Aldi and B&M store 100 meters from the site and also a Toby carvery and Harvester pub close by too.

Positiv Staff/owners very friendly, very clean and well maintained site, shops and restaurant 2 minute walk off site. Site is located on the river bank so great views. The toilet block is very clean and well maintained I was a little worried about walking to toilets with my young daughter after reading reviews before my visit but they are literally a couple of minutes walk wherever you are on site with steps or a ramp to chose from. Would definitely stay again.

Positiv The gates to get in are coded , caravan pitch size , view river/fields .
Shops & eating Aldi/BM - Harvester + other just out side gates .
Cleanliness of the site & management friendly & helpful .

Negativ The waste water needs another location or bottom shelf up ( other end ) . The toilet block is Modern / clean , but a couple of issue's , on sites list to do . No' showers / toilets . Traffic noise can be noticeable .

Positiv Great pitch but no clear path to toilets up new steps then walk across baron land that’s is uneven under foot, showers dangerous scalding to freezing in 2-3 seconds more steps required closer to reception looks like a nuclear bunker with all concrete pads men’s toilet has a leak will stop again but only because of location terrible site worst site stopped at in 15 years of having caravan

The path to the shower block is already being worked on, as mentioned in one of our previous replies, and we’re looking into the shower temperature issues and other maintenance concerns. It would have been helpful if you’d let the wardens know during your stay using the contact details provided, as we could have addressed some of this immediately.

You’ve described us as the worst site you’ve visited in 15 years, yet also said you’d return — which is a little surprising, as most people don’t tend to revisit the “worst” of anything. Given your experience and your private comment calling it a “joke of a site,” it does seem this may simply not be the right park for you.

We appreciate your feedback and will continue making improvements for guests who enjoy what the park has to offer.

Positiv Absolutely fantastic site. The Couple running the site are so friendly. Large pitch and immaculate showrd &toilets.Local eateries close by and a 30 min walk in to Worcester. Or if you dont fancy walking bus stop close by. Defo return.

Positiv Nice location, close to bus stop and supermarket right next door. Good size pitch with river views. Toilets/showers very clean and tidy. Greeted by a lovely friendly lady. Ladies shower cubicles nice and roomy, very warm and powerful.

Negativ Security was very tight on the main entrance but there were a lot of strangers walking through along the river. The walk to toilet/shower block was treacherous no pathway, lots of lumpy dry earth and trip hazards on the static plots. Heard a lot of complaints from men about their showers being very small and how they had to dry and dress in communal area. Only one shower/toilet block, could imagine it very busy in peak times.

The public footpath that runs along the river is a big attraction for both our campers and walkers.
A pathway to the facilities block is next on our list which is why at the moment it asks in our rules that are given to campers on check in that they do not walk across empty static pitches.
We are finding that the majority of our campers use their own facilities in their caravans & units so haven't experienced any problems with only having one shower/toilet block.
