Positiv Loved this campsite! It is not too big so feels nice and cozy, we were on the grass and gravel pitches which are nice and flat (and very close to the facilities building) , however next time we might try one of the grass ones as they seemed to have nicer views😉 we were welcomed by a very friendly host who offered lots of useful information (including reassuring me and my fear of meeting wild boars in the forest 😀). Facilities were kept very clean during our stay and on Saturday evening they have a pizza van that turns up with the best pizza ever!!! Delicious 😋 they also have some very cute cows on site x very dog friendly site, enclosed dog field (there was cow 💩 around it when we visited and knowing our dog he would have run straight into it so we have preferred to walk him in the forest instead, but it is a nice and big enclosed area for your dogs to enjoy). You have direct access to the forest and so many paths to explore, we loved our walks! All in all, we highly reccommend this side and can't wait to return ❤️

Positiv We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely return. The site itself is beautiful, peaceful and incredibly well maintained, with huge pitches and lovely views across the surrounding countryside.

One of our favourite things was the location. There are several access gates directly from the campsite leading straight into the Forest of Dean and onto different walking trails, which was absolutely perfect for us and our dog. You can literally leave your pitch and head straight into the forest without needing to drive anywhere. We spent loads of time exploring, saw deer in the forest and even came across sheep while walking along a nearby public footpath – it really felt like you were properly out in the countryside.

The dedicated dog exercise field was another massive bonus and had beautiful views. The facilities were always really clean and well looked after, and the whole campsite felt spacious and quiet rather than overcrowded.

We stayed on a premium electric grass and gravel touring pitch and had loads of room. It was the perfect base for exploring the Forest of Dean while also being somewhere we genuinely enjoyed coming back to and relaxing at afterwards.

Positiv Lovely views. Very quiet and peaceful. ANOR helpful. Very clean Block. V helpful staff. The new aggregate was very rough underfoot. Overall excellent, thanks. No pizza man this year? The EHU bollard needed clearer instructions to activate.

Negativ Adjacent steep embankment tricky to access our offside caravan services. Our friends site cottage was disappointing for them. Uncomfortable beds and chairs, needed upgrading. Only one in/out door, so a fire risk. Rather difficult to find enough things to do. Altogether, we were V happy, thanks again

Positiv The friendly, welcoming staff, the scenery from our pitch, the cleanliness of the campsite, how close it is to local walks and the additional dog exercise field which was great for our 8 month old Vizsla. It was a great camping experience for our first time camping with our dog and the staff and the site made it memorable.

Positiv We had a great welcome. A lovely well maintained site. Lovely views of the forest. Quiet and lots of walks in the forest next to site. Exceptionally clean toilets, showers washing up block. Great to have use of fridge, freezer. Free washing machine and tumble dryer is great which is often unheard of on most camp sites.
