Serious lack of cleaning in and around toilets.
Appalling washing up area with lack of hot water and waste flowing around your feet into the gravel.
Untidy grounds with dead plants in battered old bins.
Generally unloved and unclean
Very expensive for poor facilities.

However, we are very sorry to hear that the condition of our site and amenities fell so short of your expectations, especially given our nightly rates. We take your serious comments regarding the lack of cleaning in the toilets and the dirty, broken facilities very seriously, and we will address this immediately with our housekeeping team. We also apologise for the appalling condition of the washing-up area, the lack of hot water, and the drainage issue causing waste to flow onto the gravel. Furthermore, your feedback about the untidy grounds and the dead plants in battered bins has been passed to our groundskeeping team so we can clear away the clutter and smarten up the site. We agree that our unique layout should never feel unloved. We truly value your constructive feedback as it helps us target the exact areas that need immediate care, and we wish you all the best on your future travels.

Líbí se The location of this site is spot on, beach so close, well stocked shop a few minutes walk away. Excellent communication, really friendly check in on site.

Loved the owls (we really hope they are rescued) meeting Muffin was such a highlight!

The toilet block was generally good. Clean, well stocked. No problem at all with the showers.

I actually prefer a more ‘rural’ style campsite however…

Nelíbí se Charging £50 a night and then you need to add on more for electric, earlier than 3pm check in, etc for this site just is expensive.

I came maybe 4 years ago, every pitch was booked out. It was lively and bustling.

I was really sad to see mostly empty pitches separated by unkept bags of weeds where a few flowers could be. Washing up sinks leaking and others not working at all and full of leaves, generally I’d have to agree with others the site is in poor condition - for the price. Such a shame, I’d love to give this place some love as it’s in SUCH a perfect spot. Or, see it be an <£25 a night place and you accept the more ‘wild’ nature to it.

I’d still go back, but if others near by weren’t booked out when I looked I’d probably opt for somewhere that felt a bit more loved ❤️

We are absolutely thrilled that meeting Muffin and our other on-site owls was such a highlight for you, and we can happily reassure you that they are indeed loved, rescued birds. However, we are very sorry to hear that the changes on site since your last visit four years ago left you feeling sad, particularly regarding our pricing and overall upkeep. We completely understand your frustration about paying £50 a night before adding extras like electricity or early check-in, especially when comparing the cost to the current condition of the grounds. Your feedback about the empty pitches, the unkempt flower beds full of weeds, and the leaking or leaf-filled washing-up sinks has been shared directly with our maintenance and groundskeeping teams. We appreciate your perspective on our 'rural' style, but we agree that even a wilder site needs to feel cared for and offer proper value for money. We truly value your history with us and your constructive insights, and we hope to restore that well-loved feeling to the site so we can welcome you back for a much better experience in the future.

Líbí se The site was very quiet, close to the beach, pubs and public transport. We were met on arrival and the man was very friendly and explained where everything was. The pitches were generous.

Nelíbí se The site was a bit overgrown, with well grown weeds. The showers were tied. The one I used wouldn’t turn off. But it was hot and powerful enough.
