A aimé Great location, very close to the beach.
Beautiful sunsets and clear night skies.

N'a pas aimé Toilets left unclean, no hand dryers or paper towels.
It was early in the year, mid March, site was undergoing re-leveling of many pitches and generally quite scruffy.
Expensive for a rustic experience.

A aimé This site is well equipped and spacious. It’s very close to a nice beach with cafes and food huts. But most of all, the people that work/stay on the site are so lovely and helpful. My electric hook up cable wasn’t working, not only did they lend me one, they let me use a fast charging power bank for my phone which had died to let my family know I’d arrived (solo traveller) but they also repaired my own hook up cable. Highly recommend for the people alone.

A aimé Staff welcoming , facilities are basic but serviceable. Location is ideal. Fortunately I went at a quiet time otherwise I might have struggled to get my twin axle caravan in a relatively tight space. Enjoyable stay , no complaints. Thank you.

A aimé Peaceful location situated next to the beach. I know of only one other site in Norfolk that is as close. Lots of nature walks to take the dog. We walked south along the Norfolk Coastal path towards Snettisham one day then north to Hunstanton the second.
The new addition of an owl sanctuary was lovely.
The owners are very welcoming and accomodating. This is our fifth stay, so we must like it and them!

N'a pas aimé There's lots of work being undertaken to improve the facilities and landscaping before the season begins, which is very positive. During the winter, this site is very much 'work in progress' with lots of maintenence and enhancements. Perhaps the winter fees should reflect this. This is more an observation rather than a dislike.

We are so glad that you and your dog were able to make the most of those crisp walks along the Norfolk Coastal path. Being that close to the beach is something we feel very lucky to offer, and it’s wonderful to know it remains a highlight for you. It’s also fantastic to hear that the new owl sanctuary added a bit of extra magic to your stay.

A aimé Nigel was lovely … check in was very easy and gave us some directions to nearest pub etc.
literally cannot get closer to the beach! Right on top of numerous coastal walks. Fabulous location for beach and wildlife. There are owls that live on site to which you can hear them in the evening which was really lovely to listen to. (Owner of the owls was very kind and cheerful)
Nice and quiet site(but again we were the only ones there)
Lots of bins everywhere and the most spectacular sun set location

N'a pas aimé There was no hot water or light in the washing up area (we used our van in the end to which we don’t usually do)
Very pleased we were the only ones on site as there are a lot of pitches available for just 2 working ladies toilets and 1 shower. Shower very old and needs updating but water was nice and hot. (Water temperature adjustable and not one of those annoying push button showers!)
No cleaning seemed to be done while we were there for 2 nights which again being the only ones there this wasn’t a problem but if busier then wouldn’t have been ideal.
Could also only find one tap for drinking water which wasn’t ideally located.
It is winter so didn’t expect it to be “pretty” however it did look like a bit of a dumping ground (old caravan etc) so site could do with a bit of a tidy up.

A aimé Friendly welcome. Fabulous close proximity to the sea. We wanted to spend NYE & NYD on the beach with our old dog and this site was perfect for that. Very quiet site but there is a huge caravan site opposite which was closed so not sure what it would be like in high season.
The site has all the facilities you need for camping but it is very basic & was quite expensive but I was happy to accept that for the location and date of stay.

N'a pas aimé The pitches aren’t very clearly marked or defined at all and ours had a 2 ft high ‘stick’ growing out of the ground in the middle which was odd & we both managed to fall over a couple of times.
The toilets & washing up areas were dirty but really I have to attribute that to fellow campers who obviously couldn’t be arsed to clear up after themselves.

A aimé It suited our needs but was very basic for the price.

N'a pas aimé It was essentially a field, we had to pay a premium due to being over a certain length and early check in (check in is 3pm) even though it was off season.
I didn’t use the showers as they didn’t look appealing, nor were the toilets. The overall appearance felt run down.
As mentioned - it served a purpose but was definitely not worth the £48.50 paid.
