Twelve Oaks Farm Caravan Park is a quiet family-friendly park set on a working farm around 10 minutes' drive from the historic market town of Newton Abbot. It's within walking distance of the Templer Way heritage trail and a huge country park, as well as a flat and family-friendly cycling trail through woodlands and around lakes to Dartmoor National Park. The outdoor pool is always warm as it's heated by the site's biomass heating system, and there's a fishing lake within walking distance of all pitches. The site also has a small play area to keep the kids entertained. The dishwashing and laundry facilities are housed within the award-winning heated toilet and shower block. Twelve Oaks Farm Caravan Park is easily accessible from the main roads that run either side of Newton Abbot, making the park well placed for shopping trips and evenings out to Torbay, Exeter and Plymouth.

  • Your vehicle number plate must match what is provided in your booking as the site has a recognition system on entry. There is a £10 fee for amendments. From Sept 2025, the A382 will be closed at Whitehills Junction for 11 months, followed by a 12-month closure at Forches Cross. Diversions via the A383/Liverton and A380/Clay Pits Way will be in place: this will not affect access to Twelve Oaks Farm Caravan Park but will affect getting into the local town. Each pitch includes 8kW of electricity per day as part of the site's fair use policy. If you exceed this allowance, additional electricity will be charged at £0.37 per kWh and must be paid via the Metpow app.

Em va agradar Great clean site, lots of space on the pitches and quiet surroundings. Kids loved the pool and the park area. Good little shop for the necessities and the food from the kitchen was lovely. We had an evening meal and breakfast both were freshly cooked and tasty!
Lovely stay and we’ll be back as good value for money too!

No em va agradar Only drawback was only 6 showers for the whole site in the ladies

Em va agradar Loved the site, swimming pool and bonus, staff lovely, loved the fact there was a takeaway on site and you can even have a Sunday roast, this does have to be pre ordered. There is also a fishing lake.

No em va agradar Only 1 toilet block for quite a big site if you're pitch is down the far end its quite a walk, especially in the middle of the night, although this did not spoil our stay.

Em va agradar Loved the pool and the chilled out vibe of the park. The staff were friendly and the facilities were great. Super pitch sizes too. The kids loved riding round on their bikes. It was lovely a quiet too.

Em va agradar Looked safe for young children, the pool is a bonus. The near by walks were stunning excellent for dogs.

No em va agradar The full service pitches are right by the exit, there is allot of coming and going, unfortunately not very relaxing. They also used allot of quarry dust in the gravel paths and patches, which is constantly being thrown up into the air with passing traffic. We had two dogs with us which made it worse. Everything was covered in dust, it took hours to clean our van. I would opt for a grass pitch if possible.

Em va agradar The swimming pool. The onsite food truck. The shop. The animals.

No em va agradar The pitches were on a slope. Had trouble getting shower to correct temperature had to shower in cold water twice. Compared when I last visited it looked a little tired. Lots of weeds on the pitches bits of rubbish on the paths. The coffee machine in reception needed a good clean. Lots of roads closed making it difficult to get around (not their fault I know ) but added to the overall impression

The site's fishing lake is well stocked with carp – just ask for Jim and he'll tell you all their names... Twelve Oaks Farm Caravan Park also lies halfway along the Templer Way Heritage Trail, a walking route that uses a mixture of rights of way, permissive routes and minor roads to link the seaside town of Teignmouth to Haytor on Dartmoor. The Stover Canal, which was once used to transport granite from the moors to the harbour, is also a short stroll from the park. The woodland, grassland, heathland, marsh and lake areas of the 114-acre Stover Country Park, designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, is half an hour's walk away. The park has a visitor centre, an aerial walkway, a bird hide and picnic areas. Also running through the country park is the Stover Trail – a traffic-free cycling route that connects Newton Abbot to Bovey Tracey, extending towards Lustleigh and Moretonhampstead in Dartmoor National Park.
