No em va agradar Only thing I missed was a sink for pot washing. But I knew it was a basic site and thats what I wanted so not a complaint.

Em va agradar Great open space with lots of distance between other campers, trolley available which was a big help when carrying over heavy tents.

The field is very large and it’s our policy to ensure that campers always have plenty of space, even on busy weekends. We also have an overspill field which several guests made use of this year.

We appreciate you using our trolleys to carry your tents across the field. It’s part of the camping experience, in our view, and helps to keep the field free of moving vehicles.

Em va agradar Had a fantastic night stay here. Very friendly and welcoming. Had to phone to ask a few questions beforehand and they were super helpful. The pitch was stunning and so peaceful. The surrounding area was great to explore. The kids had fun which is always our aim. Felt safe, secure and welcome. Would recommend. Toilets were fine and lots of buckets/wheelbarrows to help.

No em va agradar not level ground, take some time to locate good spot for sleep; can't drive to your pitch

The ground is a bit undulating, so thank you for making that point.

As regards our policy on vehicle movements on the tent side of the field, we do believe that it’s safer for guests to leave their cars on the camper van side and use trolleys to move camping kit. It leaves a large space in which children (and adults) can play ball games and generally run around and have fun.

We are more than happy to accommodate tents on the camper van side if it’s necessary for you to have your car close by or if you are travelling with friends who have camper vans.

Em va agradar Hospitality, very friendly, greeted on arrival and visited at tent to say hello. Lovely farm shop, like a country kitchen
where you could sit at the farm kitchen table and drink tea with the owner who was full if interesting stories about his life and the farm and why they like to keep it a wild camping experience. Enjoyed camping without all the rules and trappings. Not for everyone but i loved it. Great walks in every direction and pleasant walk to local village where the pub has an impressive food menu.

Em va agradar We liked the quietness of the site, and also the owners were there to welcome us when we arrived and direct us on to the field, the cafe was a bonus and you could buy produce aswell if you needed to. The two fields separated with a gate was good so you could have tents in one and vans in another, it was a lovely walking area and a bus stop for Reading town centre.

No em va agradar We found the road leading up to the site was rather bumpy but manageable and there needs to be a sign to show a campsite as we drove past thinking it was just a cafe, the sink was on the floor not in use so maybe put it on the table so it could be connected up and use it.

We are working on the road now that we have had some rain, and we do take your point that it’s a bit bumpy. It’s always going to be a bit bumpy, but we do our best!
