不喜欢 Unfortunately, the site was not for us.
I booked it as many reviews mentioned the dog walk. I thought it was an off lead walk but it wasn't. It was a very big field with a mowed around the edges and across the field, the rest was long unmowed grass. Both dogs got ticks through walking in the long grass.
Our pitch was next to the farm next door and many heavy vehicles went up and down the access track all day. Due to dry weather, there was a lot of dust.
For a motorhome, facilities not great, no grey water drop area and no easy access for filling water from the taps.
Site very popular to families and the children used the access roads around the site as race tracks .
Site close to Lacock Abbey which is about a 10-15 minute walk away. We didn't like the walk though as no paths on the side of the road .
Not many showers for the size of the site but new and okay.
No shop on site and reception not manned although available by phone if needed.
Pitch was okay, hard standing section and grass. Quite close to neighbours.

We're pleased to hear that you found our team friendly and welcoming, and that you appreciated the proximity of the site to Lacock Abbey.

We're sorry to hear that certain aspects of the site were not what you had expected. Our dog walking field is intended as an exercise area rather than a dedicated off-lead dog park, and we understand that this may not have met your requirements. As with many countryside locations, particularly during warmer months, ticks can be present in longer grass, and we would always recommend checking pets after walks.

Regarding the vehicle movements and dust, the traffic you experienced was associated with the construction of a nearby solar farm rather than normal farm operations. Unfortunately, this work is outside of our control; however, we are in regular contact with the contractors and are working with them on a daily basis to minimise disruption to our guests. Measures are in place to help control dust levels, and the contractors are subject to restricted working hours, which we actively monitor. The project is due to be completed soon.

We are continually reviewing our facilities, and guest feedback helps inform future improvements. At the start of 2025, we installed a dedicated grey water disposal point for motorhomes. However, as motorhome designs vary considerably, we appreciate that the facility may not be suitable or convenient for every vehicle layout.

Reception is not permanently staffed; however, assistance is always available by telephone, and a member of the team is regularly around the site and happy to help whenever needed. During your stay, the owner spoke with you on several occasions to ensure everything was satisfactory. We always encourage guests to let us know of any problems while they are on site so that we can do our best to resolve them.

As a family-friendly campsite, children do enjoy using the open spaces, although we do ask all guests to be considerate of others and to follow site rules regarding safe behaviour.

喜欢 Clean facilities and well kept grounds. Friendly and helpful staff. Cant fault it. Had a great time.

Modern clean shower/ toilet block. Easy walk into Lacock with good options to eat.

喜欢 Can,t fault the place. Lovely staff great pitches. And loos etc. Plus the WiFi actually works even when the site was fully full on a bank holiday Monday.
Unlike camping and caravan club sites that never seem to work at all.
Definitely recommend
BUT DON'T TELL EVERYONE THOUGH

喜欢 Good sized pitches with good location for an easy walk into Lacock which had 3 excellent pubs, post office/shop and bakery. The abbey is definitely worth a visit too and we enjoyed the connection to Harry Potter and the Photography museum. Shower and toilet facilities were immaculate and used the laundry too with no issues.
Friendly and welcoming site staff.
