If life’s little stresses are getting you down, flee and hide away in this award-winning park in a Devon wooded valley. From your doorstep at Hidden Valley Park all the highlights of north Devon are within easy reach: the famed beaches of Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Croyde Bay are no more than 15 minutes' drive away, and family days out at The Big Sheep are about half an hour from the site. But this pretty place is so secluded you'll feel like the world outside doesn’t even exist (which is always a win…). There's no need to leave the grounds until you're fully perked up, with plenty of peaceful options including wandering along the stream running through the park, lazing about the lakeside area, or taking a woodland walk to spot kingfishers and otters. Take a tramp through the forest then come back to relax around the gardens and lake – there’s wifi access too so you can load up your phone/tablet and studiously avoid catching up on work. Which is also a win… Kids and dogs can hide away too, as there are two play parks for the youngsters and the park is dog-friendly. Amenities include luxury shower and toilet blocks with hairdryers and underfloor heating, full disabled facilities, a reception with tourist information, a licensed shop and a launderette. Once it’s time to venture off site, a bus stop is just outside the entrance to the park.

喜欢 I liked the hidden part of it in the woods. Nice clean shower/ toilets

不喜欢 I just think the water in the shower could have been a bit warmer, I like it quite hot and it felt tepid especially as it was quite cold needed warming up before walk back to van

喜欢 Arrived late on NYE after celebrating nearby. A gorgeous campsite set in picturesque a woodland valley.

Lovely facilities with showers and a laundry.

Our son loved the stream running through the site and the bridge over.

Really friendly and easy to find in the dark!

We'll definitely be back

喜欢 Lovely site with some great facilities. The pitches are nice a big and the setting within the woods makes for lovely walks.
Toilets and showers are good and the underfloor heating is a bonus, unfortunately we weren’t sure how to get access to the family bathroom which would have been useful.

不喜欢 Some days of the children’s play equipment needs attention or replacing, same for the wooden bridge and lighting up the steps to the shower block.

喜欢 Liked Everything, such a lovely serene vibe! Everything was clean and owners so friendly. Even the local wildlife wanted to be friends, nearly brought a Robin home to Wales as he snook in when I had the door open! Luckily I noticed before he/she became a Celt!

喜欢 Sadly we had to leave 2 days earlier due to me and my partner unwell. However the site is beautiful and the showers are hot with not having to press the button for it to come on again which is fantastic. I would highly recommend this site. Very warming and inviting.

不喜欢 We was put in pitch 14 which was straight opposite bins, we asked to be moved which they moved us straight away. They are polite and helpful.

Hidden Valley is four miles from two of Devon’s best-known beaches, Woolacombe and Ilfracombe, five miles from the surfing mecca of Croyde Bay and six from a family day out at the beach of Saunton Sands. The areas around all these are well worth a look, but the Victorian harbour town of Ilfracombe is a must for bucketloads of boat trips such as punts out to nearby Lundy Island, the seafront with the Landmark Theatre, and St Nicholas Chapel on Lantern Hill, where a light has shone over the harbour for over a thousand years. Bring a torch for a walk to the Ilfracombe Museum and Tunnels beach, reached by tunnels through the cliff. Many family attractions close by for all weathers, including Exmoor Zoo (25 minutes' drive) and The Big Sheep (30 minutes), while sprogs will probably also like spotting ponies in the Exmoor wilderness, getting creeped out in the dungeon labyrinths of Watermouth Castle (20 minutes) or taking to the skies in the rides at the Milky Way Adventure Park, 45 minutes away at Bideford.
