What customers say
Peaceful, well-kept woodland campsite with a stream. Praised for large, level pitches, clean facilities (showers great!), and super friendly staff. Great for exploring beaches/towns, with a handy bus. Some road noise and minor facility updates needed. Highly recommended.

Liked Lovely camping, great size of pitch. Very clean toilet area. Ladies in reception are very friendly.
Disliked Bar on Friday closed too early. There were a lot of people hoping to come in and enjoy their evening, but everyone had to turn away.

Lovely site a short drive from wonderful beaches.
Power optional gravel travel trailer campsite (large)
Liked Good clean site, good facilities, good pitch, nice bar, restaurant, outdoor seating area, friendly staff. Lovely woodland walk which was great for dogs.
Disliked Nothing particularly to dislike about the site. The steps up/down to the facility block could potentially be a bit precarious in wet/cold weather. Also found the ANPR barrier slow to rise but minor points.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations.
All of our pitches have access to electric hook-up, although on some pitches the connection point is positioned just beside the pitch itself rather than directly on it. For your pitch, the hook-up point was located in the flowerbed next to the pitch, around two metres from the edge.
We were also sorry to read your comments regarding staffing and facilities. During your stay we were operating with our usual team, and as it was half term, our café, restaurant, bar, shop and reception were all open for longer hours than normal. The only service affected that week was the availability of fresh croissants in the shop due to a supplier issue.
Cleanliness across the park is something we work very hard to maintain. Our shower and toilet facilities are cleaned daily, while our refuse and recycling points are checked and tidied every day. Bin collections take place weekly on Fridays, although if bins become full beforehand then they're swapped for empty bins.
We appreciate that everyone’s experience is different, and we are disappointed that this was your impression, particularly as we are often complimented on both our cleanliness and customer service.
With regard to the Wi-Fi, it is normally available across the whole park, and had we been made aware of any issue during your stay, we would have happily looked into it for you.
Thank you again for your feedback and for choosing to stay with us.

Liked Large spacious pitch. Toilet block was always clean and was never too busy. Little stream and woodland walk a great way to keep everyone and the dog cool.
Short distance to Ilfracome, Woolacombe, Barnstaple.
Two play parks on site.
Disliked I didn't see any clear opening times for the shop/restaurant which meant we didn't eat there.
The road could be quite noisy at times.

Costs aside will still go back, but would be nice for lower prices

Liked Large pitches, very clean amenities
Disliked Cost compared to Stowford, which has more on site and no added electric cost.

From the manager: Thank you for your review and for highlighting our large pitches and the cleanliness of our facilities.
I'm pleased you enjoyed those aspects of your stay. Regarding the comparison with Stowford, I appreciate that guests will naturally compare parks when choosing where to stay. However, for the dates of your visit, a comparable pitch at Stowford would have been nearly £70 more expensive than your stay with us. It's also worth noting that while Stowford offers additional facilities such as a swimming pool and evening entertainment, access to most of those facilities carries additional charges.
At Hidden Valley Park, we aim to provide spacious pitches, a family feel along with a peaceful environment, and transparent pricing so guests can choose the holiday experience that best suits their needs.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we look forward to seeing you again.
