There’ll be plenty of time for monkey business in this family-friendly site… Surrounded by a whopping 56 acres of countryside and a fab place for taking toddlers, Monkey Tree Holiday Park is 10 minutes from Perranporth and its huge open beach, as well as the lively surf centre of Newquay. As you might already (luckily) know, the north coast of Cornwall is tiptop for beaches – Newquay's famed for its world-class waves and heady nightlife, while Perranporth has kayaking and hovercrafting to get adventurously stuck into, and top-notch coastal walks on either side of the beach. Back at base, catch a few pages of your book while the kids splash about in the outdoor heated pool complex… or while they join in with the packed entertainment schedule for juniors (there's a talented in-house entertainment team on hand with a daily kids' club and Funky Monkey putting in a regular appearance). On top of that, a maze of net walkways, slides and ball pools means that younger guests will have plenty to keep them entertained, whatever the weather. Food's sorted with the on-site clubhouse and restaurant, and fish and chip takeaway (fish and chips + seaside = essential). Or fire up the barbecue instead: hit up the camp store for the essentials, or head to the grocery store 10 minutes away.

Shop was a bit pricey ( £2.75 for half a loaf of bread is extortionate sorry)
No supervision in play barn area...there was 2 older boys we had to tell politely not to climb up the safety netting.

喜欢 Spacious pitches. Enough room for a caravan, awning and car.
Lots of water point access on the Ash pitches. EHU 1 between 4 pitch. I had a 25mtr cable and that was okay.
Reception was fast and friendly, full of info if you ask them.
Toilet block, laundry, dish wash all in same block. Very clean, hats off to the cleaning team, they were there morning, noon and night.
Entertainment area was fab. Outside bar and stage area was brilliant. Right near the chippy and pizza shop. 4.50p for a portion of chips, good size too.
Indoor bar area) didn’t see a show to comment) and arcades, food service with access to the outdoor pool.
Mini golf and a fully stocked supermarket too.
Bus stop outside the main entrance that will take you to Newquay or Redruth. Bus to Truro is on the other road(10 min walk away).

不喜欢 I called in advance to request to be near to the toilets due to having an elderly vulnerable woman with us. They preceded to put us on a pitch not close to the toilets, when I mentioned it they attempted to say it’s due to availability however while I was on site there was multiple pitches next to the toilets that were empty. The photos they have online do not reflect the actual conditions of the park. We ended up leaving early due to a few reasons but one of the biggest being the toilet situation, I put in a request and it was ignored that is not good customer service.

喜欢 Campsite was amazing, great activities for the kids plenty to keep them entertained without having to go off site. Staff were all friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much to ask and if they didn’t know the answer they went out of their way to find the answer out. Fields were large and spacious pitches.

不喜欢 This is only personal preference but I did think the pitches wouldn’t be mixed with tents and camper vans together. Also the pitches were marked out with numbers on the ground but these would be easier to see if placed on posts to see clearly straight away. Throughout the site there needs to be more signs as to where dogs are welcome ie beach house, arcades.

喜欢 Everything about the place,had loads of fun despite the weather but you cannot predict that. Definitely return but maybe at the beginning of the summer rather than the end as we was gutted we didn’t get to go in the pool. WiFi was exceptional at our pitch.

喜欢 Excellent clean facilities in great locations surrounding. Great site for dogs. With it been out of school holidays it is a nice chilled environment.

不喜欢 Swimming pool closed during the week during our stay, which we was most looking forward to after days of site seeing

喜欢 Site was beautiful, nice gardens, showers we clean hot and good water pressure, nice facilities and amenities all together, was very quiet at this time

不喜欢 Shop closed half way through the day for a few hours.
Pool times were limited
The shower building had lots of mashed up paper on the ceiling which sadly looked bad but doubt this would have been caused by the staff

Great venue with amazing facilities. The grounds were clean and well kept with beautiful touches scattered around. The colourful plants clearly well tended to be in such condition at this point in the season. Our 3 boys loved the football pitch and we enjoyed the cider!

不喜欢 Honestly would have been amazing if we could take the dog round the pool

Cornwall’s coastline and beaches are pretty much legendary, but Newquay (10 minutes) is world-famed for its surf and nightlife too. It’s a party town from daybreak until well after dark and the surf's so good they hold international competitions here – check out Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay. Perranporth (10 minutes) is the place to head for a more relaxed beach day, though it’s very popular so best to get your towel down early. The beach here is a fab spot for dog walking, rolling up the trousers for a paddle or lazing around and copping a look at the views. The Eden Project (35 minutes) has the UK’s most realistic rainforest, full of rare plant species and exotic butterflies, as well as a pretty nifty Mediterranean biome. Daredevils can also have a go on England’s longest zipwires here.
