This large and lively family park has kids’ clubs run by the cunning Foxy, free evening entertainment by the Stripey Coats, crazy golf to go loopy at and an indoor heated pool, which are also…free. As is the wifi in the clubhouse. Huzzah. Widemouth Bay Caravan Park’s location is also pretty smilesome: on a hilltop overlooking the Cornish countryside and the fab Widemouth Bay with its three miles of sand. There are over 50 acres to lose yourself in around the park and pretend you never have to go home, with the takeaway, well-stocked shop and tasty meals at the bar keeping you sorted for nosh and a launderette looking after the essentials. 喜欢 I loved this campsite. The club house was great, kids enjoyed the pool and a ten minute coastal walk to the beach.

不喜欢 We were in a really windy spot and the tent got battered by the wind.

喜欢 was our first time here. And definitely returning the staff was helpful clean and tidy place the views were spectacular especially the Cornish sunset.

不喜欢 As our Van broke down terminally on way therefore we could not arrive, new engine is going to cost £2850.00 and your POLICY will not refund us even though it was beyond our control, and we lost our £240.00 payment which has tipped us over £3000.00 for 1 weeks mistake in booking you in the first place. Spoke to John Fowlers who's customer service is DIABOLICAL and point blank refused to refund me, and told me you wouldnt either, we even offered to take a different week once our van was fixed, again refused. So no not happy, didnt get to experience it, and we have learnrd our lesson and WILL NOT book again in the future. If I had a choice of zero stars I would tick it.

喜欢 The staff all over the site are friendly and helpful, the different entertainment each night is excellent, the toilets and showers were clean. The one way system of traffic is good , This is our 4th stay at this camp site , and will come back next year .

不喜欢 Most pitches are sloped , this can be a problem if you have never been before.

喜欢 Pat , the touring attendant was great .

不喜欢 VERY hilly with very uneven pitches . The seasonal pitches were left scruffy and poorly maintained meaning the site looked neglected . The shop was based in what looked like an old toilet block . Site was too far away from everything including the bus stop 3/4 mile away accessible only by walking on a busy narrow road with no pavement up a steep hill .

喜欢 2nd time here with friends, love it! Good amenities, great location, easy to find amd a spectacular view to wake up to every morning. What else could you ask for?

不喜欢 Being 100% the tent pitches (us) are all on a slope, would be so much better level standing, but that's being picky.

Widemouth Bay is where you’ll find the surf: if you’re new to launching yourself happily into the waves there are surf and bodyboarding schools dotted all around here and Bude, and Newquay is within 50 minutes' drive. Bude less than 10 minutes by car has a couple of excellent beaches: Summerleaze, to have a dip in the sea pool at the bottom of the cliffs and to bag a beach hut for hire so you can pretend for one fleeting afternoon that it’s your very own, and Crooklets, which you can reach by a short stroll from Summerleaze Down. Both beaches, and the sea pool at Summerleaze, are lifeguarded. The staff at Widemouth Bay Caravan Park recommends a car to see the best of Cornwall, but you won’t have very far to drive to reach most of the main hotspots: the Eden Project is about 50 minutes away, and Tintagel, legendary home of King Arthur and Merlin, is just along the coast.
