We also appreciate your feedback regarding the check-in process. We ask guests to park in the designated car park before registering in order to keep the campsite roads clear and ensure a safe arrival for everyone. We’re sorry that manoeuvring your caravan in the car park was more difficult than expected.

If you decide to visit us again, you can complete your check-in online before your arrival. This allows you to access your pitch directly without needing to stop at reception, making the arrival process much easier, especially when travelling with a caravan.

Regarding the bar and restaurant, they are independently managed from the campsite. We understand your disappointment that they were not open more often in the evenings, and we will be happy to pass your comments on to their management.

Tyckte inte om Very poor that the site is advertised with a restaurant but for our two night stay the restaurant was closed. We should surely have been told this when we booked. The site is a twenty minute walk to the town and there is a very steep access road to the site which we had to cope with on both nights of our stay. In addition we were plagued with flies for the whole time we were there which made it impossible for us to sit by our van.

Regarding the restaurant, we would like to clarify that during the two days of your stay, both the bar and restaurant were open for lunch service, although they were closed in the evenings. We completely understand your disappointment if this did not meet your expectations, and we are sorry for the inconvenience. Although the bar and restaurant are independently managed, we will be happy to pass your comments on to their management.

We also regret the inconvenience caused by the flies. This was an exceptional and short-lived situation which, as can be seen from reviews collected over more than 11 years of operation, is something that has almost never been mentioned by our guests.

As for the walk to the town, the distance and access road are accurately shown on our website so that guests can decide whether our location suits their preferences. Many visitors enjoy the peaceful setting and the scenic riverside walk to Zumaia, although we understand that the uphill access may not be ideal for everyone.

Se trató de una situación completamente excepcional y puntual, algo que, como puede comprobarse en las reseñas de los más de 11 años que llevamos abiertos, prácticamente nunca había sido mencionado por nuestros clientes. Aun así, tomaremos las medidas oportunas para minimizar el problema lo antes posible.

Tyckte om This was a really lovely site,well kept and very clean.and friendly staff,the young man in the restaurant was very helpful kind and very pleasant to talk to 25 min walk into the lovely town although the climb up the hill in the very hot weather was a little telling so we had to stop for a nice cold beer or two👍

Tyckte om Excellent campsite. Fair size level pitches, very good shower block, washing up area, laundry area etc. helpful and friendly staff who speak English. Lovely pool with a view of the mountains.

Tyckte inte om It’s about half an hour to walk into town and another 15 minutes to the beach. This was fine until the heatwave hit! Obviously not the campsites fault but we did leave early because of the heat.

We completely understand your comment regarding the walk into town, especially during the exceptional heatwave. While the distance is usually enjoyable for many guests, those unusually high temperatures certainly made it more challenging.

Tyckte om Well organised and professional. Felt safe and secure. All facilities were clean and in excellent condition. Waste was well organised and emptied every day without fail. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Entrance and access were tight as were pitches but we managed with our 30ft RV and a 10ft car trailer on the back !!! Good parking skills help. Would definitely recommend this campsite and this part of Spain along the coast was fantastic

We also appreciate your remarks regarding the access road and manoeuvring within the campsite. As you experienced, due to our terraced layout and the natural terrain, some pitches can require a little extra care when arriving with larger vehicles. That said, we were particularly impressed that you successfully managed with a 30ft RV and a 10ft car trailer — excellent driving skills indeed!

We’re especially pleased to know that you would recommend both the campsite and this beautiful stretch of the Spanish coast.

Tyckte om The young man who served us in the cafe on the evening we arrived.

The very nice lady who dealt with us the day after we arrived.

The facilities were very clean and modern and well maintained. To their credit they fully refunded our payment and were very apologetic for the chaos of the previous day.

Tyckte inte om The location is not particularly attractive surrounded by an industrial estate and next to a water treatment plant.

Beware the very high speed ramp under the bridge on arrival which damaged our motor mover.

The pitches are ok for motor homes and campers but if you have a twin axel caravan it is very very tight and without a mover, as stated ours was taken out by the speed ramp you have little chance of getting on to a pitch. All pitches are very close to each other so if you enjoy dinner with other campers you’re in luck.

We booked a fully serviced XL pitch which was given to someone else and then a complete debacle ensued. We left the next day having spent the night on a piece of grass opposite the toilet block. To the Fellow Englishman who we allowed to remain on our booked pitch so as not to inconvenience him and who could not even muster a “Thank you” I say Bon Voyage we found a perfect site an hour down the road.

First of all, we would like to apologize once again for the error regarding the pitch you had booked. Unfortunately, an operational failure occurred on this occasion, and we fully understand the disappointment and frustration this caused you. As you mentioned, we refunded the full cost of your stay and did our utmost to find a temporary solution while we resolved the issue.

We sincerely appreciate your kind words about our team, especially regarding the staff members who assisted you during your stay. We will make sure to pass your comments on to them.

We are also pleased to hear that you found our facilities clean, modern, and well-maintained.

Regarding the access road and the surrounding area, we appreciate your feedback. Although the route to the campsite passes through an industrial zone, many guests choose us for our proximity to Zumaia, the Flysch coast, and the surrounding natural landscape—which can be reached via a pleasant walk along the riverbank, avoiding the industrial area entirely.

Once again, we deeply regret the booking error and the inconvenience caused. We appreciate the understanding you showed at the time and wish you many enjoyable trips in the future.
