Step into the splendid Gloucestershire countryside and set up camp just two miles from the market town of Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds National Landscape. With Pebbly Barn Farm as your base, fab, far-reaching views are a given, as is a warm welcome into a peaceful retreat where well-behaved dogs are welcomed on leads and adventures in the Cotswolds are within easy reach… Once you’ve pitched up your tent in the roomy fields here, set off on the walking and cycling trails in the surrounding area (some of them begin very close by). You could make off to Moreton-in-Marsh's antique emporiums, tearooms, art galleries and delis, half an hour’s walk away, or time your visit right for the town’s Tuesday open-air market. With the Four Shire Stone on the outskirts of the town, another option is standing in the old meeting point of the four counties of Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire (cool, huh?) There's also plenty of scope for tasty dinnertimes, with cafés, restaurants and pubs (including a couple rumoured to be past haunts of the author J.R.R. Tolkien) on the town high street and barbecues permitted on site (on a proper stand to protect the grass). The famed Diddly Squat Farm Shop is also 15 minutes' drive away. As for when the sun goes down, there are firepits for hire on site. The facilities here include toilets, showers and a handy dishwashing area, all close to the peaceful pitches. And though it may be rural, you won't be cut off here as Moreton-in-Marsh’s train station has routes to London and Cheltenham, and bus services go to many Cotswold towns and villages.

Tyckte om Bathrooms and facilities were immaculate and felt like home away from home!
Staff were super friendly and accommodating.
Lots of space around the campsite and had no one near us the entire weekend.
Big beautiful field, lovely views.
Fire pits to hire.
Very organised and well maintained.
Moreton-in-marsh a 5 minute drive away.
Flat field which is perfect when you’re in a tent!
They were happy and accommodating for my sister to come for the afternoon to join us for a bbq.

Tyckte inte om No shop/essentials on the site but feel it’s so close to moreton-in-marsh that it’s not an issue.

We appreciate your suggestion about Wi-Fi. We do have Wi-Fi available around the main buildings and facilities area, although coverage doesn't extend across the whole camping field. Many guests choose to pitch further out for the extra peace and space, while those needing connectivity can set up closer to the main buildings.

Tyckte om We were met on entry by a friendly, welcoming and informative lady who made us feel at home immediately. The whole site was gorgeous, top notch facilities that were very well maintained. We hired a fire pit for the night for just £5 which was ideal. We will definitely return with more members of the family and the dog!!

Where can a 10-minute car ride get you? It turns out, a lot of places. There’s the dog-friendly plant centre and café at the 56-acre Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre (10 minutes’ drive), flying displays from falcons, eagles and other birds of prey at the Cotswold Falconry Centre (10 minutes) or the splendid 18th-century gardens at Bourton House Garden (10 minutes). Sezincote House (10 minutes) is another of those close-by spots and a rare authentic Mughal palace with a house and tea room – get there on foot if you wish by following the local Moreton Eight walk near the site. With the World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace (half an hour) and the National Trust’s Chastleton House (10 minutes) close by too, there are many more options to have a nose around additional historic buildings. When you’re ready for some animal life, Cotswold Farm Park’s rare breeds, outdoor play and bouncy pillows (20 minutes) are likely to be a hit with the kids, or perhaps a peaceful picnic by the river Windrush in Bourton-on-the-Water (20 minutes) will do, with Birdland the prize attraction here.
