Main entrance into the site

  • Peaceful, dog-friendly farm site two miles from Moreton-in-Marsh
  • A 10-minute drive to Sezincote Estate; half an hour to Blenheim Palace
  • Firepits for hire; Diddly Squat Farm Shop 15 minutes’ drive
Step into the splendid Gloucestershire countryside and set up camp just two miles from the market town of Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds National Landscape. With Pebbly Barn Farm as your base, fab, far-reaching views are a given, as is a warm welcome into a peaceful retreat where well-behaved dogs are welcomed on leads and adventures in the Cotswolds are within easy reach… Once you’ve pitched up your tent in the roomy fields here, set off on the walking and cycling trails in the surrounding area (some of them begin very close by). You could make off to Moreton-in-Marsh's antique emporiums, tearooms, art galleries and delis, half an hour’s walk away, or time your visit right for the town’s Tuesday open-air market. With the Four Shire Stone on the outskirts of the town, another option is standing in the old meeting point of the four counties of Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire (cool, huh?) There's also plenty of scope for tasty dinnertimes, with cafés, restaurants and pubs (including a couple rumoured to be past haunts of the author J.R.R. Tolkien) on the town high street and barbecues permitted on site (on a proper stand to protect the grass). The famed Diddly Squat Farm Shop is also 15 minutes' drive away. As for when the sun goes down, there are firepits for hire on site. The facilities here include toilets, showers and a handy dishwashing area, all close to the peaceful pitches. And though it may be rural, you won't be cut off here as Moreton-in-Marsh’s train station has routes to London and Cheltenham, and bus services go to many Cotswold towns and villages.

What customers say

Pebbly Barn Farm gets kudos for its chill vibe, welcoming staff, and spick-and-span modern amenities, even a dog park! Plenty of space to pick your spot, plus a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. Just a heads-up on the walk to facilities or potentially tighter spots in busy season. All in all, a top-notch stay!

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite

Liked A really lovely campsite, where we were able to fully relax for the night we were there! We liked being able to choose where to park up which meant be had ample space!
The facilities were very clean and staff were friendly and attentive- we saw them dropping of concrete slabs and fire pits to our camping neighbours and regularly checking and emptying the bins.
The campsite was easy access to everywhere in the Cotswolds and perfect location for a little road trip with idyllic stop off spots on the way!
Dog friendly, with dog park to run around in, although we didn't need to use this as there was so much space we had our dog on a secured long line and he was still far away from anyone else camping!
Lovely little stay, thank you!

From the manager: Thank you so much for such a thoughtful review! We’re really pleased you were able to properly relax and enjoy the space during your stay, that freedom to choose your own spot is something many guests love, especially when travelling with dogs.

It’s great to hear you noticed the team keeping on top of things around the site too. We try hard to keep everything running smoothly in the background so guests can simply settle in and enjoy themselves.

Sounds like you made the most of the Cotswolds as well, Pebbly Barn really is a great base for a road trip with plenty of beautiful stops nearby. And we’re glad your dog enjoyed the open space too, even without needing the dog park!

Thank you again for your kind words. We’d love to welcome you back for another relaxing countryside stay soon.

Warm regards,
John & the Pebbly Barn Farm Team

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Nice, well kept site. It wasn't overly busy when I stayed and is a nice big field. Very quiet and a nice dog walk within the site and space for the dog to run off the lead (must be on lead around the camping pitches.
Nice fairly new shower block - showers are quite small, but work and have nice hot water - only a few too, so in the busy season could be a bit of waiting.

From the manager: Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re really pleased you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, the space on site, and the dog walking areas, it’s great to hear your dog was able to enjoy the open space too.

We appreciate your feedback about the showers as well. We now have 12 individual showers across the site, with both indoor and outdoor facilities, and we do our best to keep everything clean, hot, and running smoothly throughout the day.

Thanks again for staying with us, and we’d love to welcome you and your dog back to Pebbly Barn Farm again soon

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Lovely clean and very well kept site, plenty of space, toilet facilities were really good, lovely walk down to the dog park. A very quiet site apart from the early morning crows ! about a 35 minute walk into Moreton-on-Marsh down a quiet road. Everything was really nice and would definitely stay again.

Disliked Only the crows but that it not the sites fault :)

Great to hear the facilities worked well for you too, and that you made the most of the walk into Moreton-on-Marsh. We can’t do much about the early morning crows, they like to make themselves known!

We really appreciate you saying you’d stay again, and we’d love to welcome you back to Pebbly Barn Farm for another relaxing visit.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Love this campsite. Everything feels easy.

Disliked The fact my dog escaped the tent and went on the razz for the night. She looked a bit shell shocked when returning at 2am. We will never know what she got up to! Zip up those tents tight fellow dog owners!

From the manager: Thank you so much, we’re really pleased you enjoyed the relaxed feel of the site and that everything felt easy during your stay.

It sounds like your dog made the very most of her visit too! We’re glad she returned safely, even if she was keeping her adventures a mystery… definitely a good reminder for all of us to double-check those tent zips.

We’d love to welcome you (and your little explorer!) back to Pebbly Barn Farm again soon.

Local attractions

Where can a 10-minute car ride get you? It turns out, a lot of places. There’s the dog-friendly plant centre and café at the 56-acre Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre (10 minutes’ drive), flying displays from falcons, eagles and other birds of prey at the Cotswold Falconry Centre (10 minutes) or the splendid 18th-century gardens at Bourton House Garden (10 minutes). Sezincote House (10 minutes) is another of those close-by spots and a rare authentic Mughal palace with a house and tea room – get there on foot if you wish by following the local Moreton Eight walk near the site. With the World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace (half an hour) and the National Trust’s Chastleton House (10 minutes) close by too, there are many more options to have a nose around additional historic buildings. When you’re ready for some animal life, Cotswold Farm Park’s rare breeds, outdoor play and bouncy pillows (20 minutes) are likely to be a hit with the kids, or perhaps a peaceful picnic by the river Windrush in Bourton-on-the-Water (20 minutes) will do, with Birdland the prize attraction here.
