Tyddyn Goronwy Camping Park

Gostou Beautiful well kept site, lovely views, peaceful & easily accessible to lots of amenities. Toilets and showers were clean. Didn't use the entertainment passes on this occasion but was great to have the option! Wonderful stay

Gostou Staff are amazing. Wonderful, friendly, helpful people. It's obvious they try their best with limited funds.

This review is about Lyons. Not the staff!

Site is excellent for public transport, both train and bus
The pods are a great idea, you can take whatever sleeping arrangement works best for you, and they have electric sockets and coat pegs at the far end.
They have been repainted white inside since I stayed here 2 years ago, and that is a wonderful idea, certainly looks more welcoming!

Não gostou All the pods are rotting away. My friends had a hole on the floor inside near the door.
My door did not close securely once inside, and was extremely difficult to bolt shut.
Seals around the door are useless.
All TVs have been removed although at the time of booking it still states that the TVs are in the pods.
Drains block frequently in the shower block (both shower tray and sinks), but it is obvious that the facilities are dated and in need of renovation desperately.
Picnic benches outside the pods are rotting and in need of replacement.
The pod decking is rotting and has been painted over rather than repaired.
Showers are push button - one of them needs to be held in all the time, another stays on for about 10 seconds if you're lucky.
The pod outside lights are on permanently all night, with no option in the pod to turn them off.
Downloaded the app when I got there, but was unable to log in.
Sunnysands staff were unaware that we have access to their site (we walked in along the beach).
They definitely need to update their arcade, the ones in Barmouth near the station are better looked after and with more foot traffic.

Não gostou The previous times I've visited the pods have had a tv with a dvd player inside. So it was sad to see those gone.

Gostou Good site at an amazing price with generous size pitches and friendly staff. Campers are nice and spread out adding to the sense of size. Easy access to the beach & train station, although do be aware the service can be infrequent on some days so check before you travel.

Não gostou The shower temperature cannot be changed and using the shower requires permanently holding down a button. It would be nice to see a system where there is a much longer time from releasing the button to the shower stopping. You will struggle to properly wash yourself if you have reduced mobility in any way, shape or form.

Gostou Honestly such good value for money! For the price paid I honestly wasn’t expecting any frills but was sooo pleasantly surprised! The site was clean & well maintained (including toilets/wash facilities which everytime I went in were well stocked with toilet roll etc and were cleaned during the day), friendly lady checked us in, friendly handy man to check our electric hook up (turns out, I was just being an idiot-nothing wrong with the electrics🤣) plenty of pitch space, literally a five min walk to the beach (plus a shop, arcade, ice cream cafe amongst other things & close to Barmouth centre -10 mins drive or train station next to camp for I think £3 ish a ticket (not disturbing through the night/early in morning). Lovely view of the hills & sea from the tent.

Gostou Amazing site with sea view, good value for money, toilets and showers cleaning regularly and good staff

Não gostou The toilet door has a security code, which you need to remember in order to open it. However, the door only works sometimes; sometimes it opens and sometimes it does not.

The shower works with a push button, but there is no hot water.

There is no Wi-Fi on site, and EE has very poor signal there.

Gostou This is a lovely little campsite just near Barmouth. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. we arrived for a 3 day camp after 4 hours driving in the heat and i had forgotten to pack my tent poles. I was so stressed but the lovely staff allowed me to upgrade to one of their pods and we continued to have a really enjoyable stay. clean showers and toilets. beach within walking distance. watched the sun go down on the beach with our barbecue. Harlech and Black rock sands within a 30 minute drive and the scenery along the routes is amazing. The beaches in this area are vast and golden. we will definitely come again. I cannot thank the staff enough for their help in resolving my dilemma 👍👏
