Gostou Nice location, plenty of space. Friendly host.

Não gostou Facilities are very outdated and with a lot of issues - not enough showers, leaky pipes, showers blocking up during use and flooding the block, no washing up facility. I realise that the owner is awaiting permission for new shower block etc but until that's sorted, the current facilities could really do with some maintenance and tidy.

Gostou Quiet site with woodland walks nearby perfect for letting the dog run and explore. Plenty of room on a large field and hook up available on a separate field with hedges. The owners restrict the number of bookings so it's unlikely to be crowded. Drinking water and waste disposal. Clean showers and toilets. The owners are friendly and helpful.

Não gostou Toilets and showers need updating. I understand that there is a planning application in to build a toilet and shower block with caretakers accommodation. Let's hope they get on and approved it.

Gostou As many other reviewers have said, a back to basics site with the friendliest most pleasant attentive (but by no means in your face!) owner Val. Great value as our pitstop stay before going to a local festival.

Não gostou Data reception poor ( not the campsites responsibility of course, but worth knowing)
Very little shade..also worth knowing in case of a heatwave like the one we experienced on 13.8.26. it was at least 36° the day we were there 🥵

Gostou A really tranquil site and carefully managed to ensure pitches are well spaced .

Friendly management... Lots of space and a blissful pitch where you like site ..

Não gostou The power going off twice during showering... Maybe due to the extreme heat if the day?

The two adjoining toilet cubicles are narrow.

I know the owner is trying to get planning permission to build a new block.

Do gestor: Hi im glad you liked the site and enjoyed ,im sorry to hear that but a bit curious you say showers went off , no one let us know and usually we had to put them on in the barn the 2 occasions this happened before we had a larger fuse put in last year , i wish you had let us know so we could have got the electrician out which i am going to do now thankyou ,i am awaiting planning and looking forward to getting it . Gostou A lovely flat field surrounded by countryside with electric hookup, large size pitch with plenty of room for awnings ...
The toilets and showers were very clean,
Val is a lovely lady, she checked in on us every day and was a great help with local knowledge...
Will definitely be staying at fox covert again...

Gostou Absolutely everything, but definitely Val the most!! Such a gorgeous campsite, lovely and quiet, pitches are massive loads of room for kids to run and around and play it's just brill. Val is the perfect owner, she's around if you need anything and always down for a good chat! Honestly made our stay so much more enjoyable having someone like that running the place. Can't fault it, we had the best time and 100% will be coming back asap.

Gostou Val is great!!! Very very friendly. Very clean, loved the site! Took my 3 year old and felt so safe he could just run around the field no worries at all. Great little site

Gostou Firstly, Val was wonderful. We had some coms issues around directions but she persevered to help get us there!

The site is a lovely, back to basics site. Not many toilets and showers for the size but for us it wasn't a problem as we are self sufficient when it comes to that. It was very quiet the weekend we were there so can imagine it being a bit of a wait for showers and toilet when it is busy. They have chemical disposal and drinking water.

The field is nice and flat. It's a lovely quiet space with pubs and shop within walking distance.

If you want a site that has all the amenities, club house etc then this not the place for you. However, if you want back to basics, relaxed vibe in lovely surroundings with nice walks then this is for you. We will definitely be back.
