Gostou Fantastic location. Great set up. Small but clean facilities. Saw Roxy or her sister in there several times keeping them spotless. Little cafe on site selling breakfast lunch and great gelatos. Walkable to knoghton via Offa's path. Oh and if you are lucky enough to get a clear night the stars 🥰. River running through the camp for keep8ng cool. Awesome bank holiday weekend in the blazing sunshine. Oh and take the time to visit the Spaceguard centre. Dee is brilliant. Space nerd heaven. Thanks for an awesome weekend. We will 100% be back 😎❤️

Gostou ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic, Relaxed Campsite (Though I Left My Fortune in the Showers!)

I recently spent a couple of nights here camping with my little dog, Rosie. Unfortunately, the British weather did what it does best and rained the entire time, but Rosie and I braved the elements and still enjoyed a great trip into the lovely town of Knighton.

The campsite itself was absolutely fantastic. I met the owner, Foxy (Roxanne)—a name that absolutely suits her look! She was wonderful and runs a perfect site for families. They provide hot water for your pots and pans, and basically a mini-kitchen with a shared microwave, fridge, clean showers, toilets, and a washing machine.

I was thoroughly impressed by how wonderfully relaxed it is. You just pitch up wherever you want. It’s so much better than those other high-maintenance sites that mark out strict pitches with grass paint like a football pitch, which totally spoils the proper camping vibe.

The only real downside was my own forgetfulness. I accidentally left my toiletries pack in the bathroom, including my expensive eye creams and my electric toothbrush. So between the rain and the lost luggage, it turned out to be a very luxury-priced camping trip! Hahaha, but hey ho, that’s life. I'm just hoping the local wildlife appreciates a high-end skincare routine and a dazzling electric smile!

A brilliant site—highly recommended, just double-check your bags before you drive off!

Gostou Unlimited pitch sizes, great facilities and the owners are very pleasant. The scenery is great and the fact it’s still a working farm.

Gostou Large pitch, plenty of room. Everything was spotless.

Não gostou Could do with a few more toilets due to the size of the site. Maybe a footbridge over the river near to the railway bridge would be helpful.

Gostou Fantastic stay for 3 nights. The hosts couldn’t do enough for us and were so helpful. Showers super hot and all facilities so clean. The area is great for walking and can highly recommend the shepherds pie at the horse and jockey which is a lovely 10 minute walk away. We will be back.

Gostou The campsite is in a really pretty location with lovely walks nearby, which was definitely a positive. Check-in and check-out were also very relaxed and easy, with just a simple phone call and being told to pitch up wherever we liked, which made arrival stress-free.

Não gostou We ended up staying on the back field where the grass was very long. I personally feel campsite grass should be kept shorter and better maintained.

The toilet and shower block was also disappointing. The toilets and showers were all in the same building, with a ladies’ cubicle next to a shared cubicle, then another cubicle for men. I really didn’t like this setup and wouldn’t have booked if I had known I could be using the toilet right next to a man.

In the morning, one of the toilets was left in a really unpleasant state with what looked like a poo explosion everywhere. It was not nice at all and made me feel uncomfortable using the facilities again, so I didn’t use the showers at all.

There were also multiple dogs off lead running around the field. We had brought our own dog, who doesn’t get on well with dogs off lead, so this caused stress for us throughout the stay.

Because of the long grass, unclean toilet facilities, and dogs being off lead, I personally wouldn’t stay again.

Do gestor: Hello Jade. Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your stay. May I just add - you picked where you wanted to pitch, there are many areas that are mowed grass which were available to pitch on.
The toilets are checked and cleaned every couple of hours. Sorry you had an unfortunate find. I cannot check after every person uses the loo. Nobody’s ever complained of the ‘set up’ before as you can see in all our previous reviews.

Gostou My second stay at the lovely Panpwnton Farm.

The site itself feels remote despite being a short walk into the nearby town. Dark skies, and peaceful nights listening to the babbling river Teme. Great walking nearby in the English and Welsh countryside.

A popup cafe is open during busy times offering breakfast baps, coffee, tea, cakes etc. The facilities are always clean and include a communal fridge, microwave and kettle.

Firepits are available for hire and wood for purchase.

Roxy and Will are great hosts and I know I will be back for a third visit before long.

Highly recommended!

Gostou Spacious pitch, friendly owners, Beautful site, kids loved the stream we pitched up next to and the area itself is wonderful. There’s a platform with the English/Welsh boarder the kids can stand on only a 5 minute stroll up river. We spent most of the day skimming rocks and the kids were able to just be kids with no electronics and it was heartwarming to see. The toilets and showers are decent. There’s fridge/ freezer for all to use and a kettle. This is the second time we have been and there were a few upgrades such as a little cafe serving baps and treats for dogs! Knighton itself is a lovely little town with everything you need and just by the offas dyke path is a huge park. There’s plenty around this site to keep you busy without needing to use the car. You can hire the fire pit £5 a night and purchase a bucket of logs for £5. Dogs are very welcome and catered for. If you follow the river it’ll take you to Knighton perhaps 20 minutes walking. You can join the offas dyke path along the way. Plenty of areas the kids can play in the stream.

Não gostou This is nothing to do with the site or the owners. It’s to do with people and 2 families turned up at 9:30pm and starting setting up their tents and were still doing so until midnight right next to our tent. I mean who on earth turns up in the dark and starts setting up their tents! They were very loud and this just sullied the evening after having such a perfect day. This is more to do with people which I know you cannot predict/control it’s just not what you expect of other campers.
