Outdoor accommodation specialist adds lodges to its portfolio

Bringing outdoor accommodation to a greater audience and longer season

Outdoor accommodation specialist Pitchup.com has boosted availability to luxury lodges to provide British travellers with year-round outdoor holiday options.

While some more traditional styles of camping and glamping offered by Pitchup.com require guests to - in some cases - brave the elements, the lodges feature fully-furnished and heated accommodation with additional facilities such as electric, TVs, DVDs, fitted bathrooms, fires and woodburners, dishwashers, microwaves and washing machines. With lodges, pods and cabins available at more than 230 locations across the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Luxembourg and Portugal, visitors will be spoiled for choice.

Commenting on the ever growing choice of accommodation offered by Pitchup.com, founder Dan Yates said: “Since we launched Pitchup.com five years ago we’ve seen a shift in the type of accommodation becoming available. We’ve always featured a handful of lodges, but this summer has seen a boom in really beautiful accommodation which would appeal to even the biggest camping cynic. These lodges are heated, insulated, furnished and as good as any holiday cottage or hotel, indeed in some cases even better:  they offer amazing value for money too, with some costing from just £40 per night for the entire lodge. It means that UK travellers can carry on camping year round.”

Amongst the new offerings are:
