Polubione This was our 4th time camping here but first time with our baby, the baby changing facilities in the toilets made things so much easier. We love that they allocate pitches and have so much space. Toilets/showers clean except when other campers don’t clean up after themselves. Extra touches like microwave and fridge/freezer made camping with a baby stress free. 10 minute walk in to the local village and a park on site, what more could you want from a campsite?

Polubione Lovely weekend away. Nice sized pitch with electric and water nearby. Showers and toilets were cleaned regularly, some grass etc on the floor but to be expected (I was a little worried reading some of the reviews) 10min walk into Coldstream with a few food options. Hirsel estate in walking distance with nice walks.

Niepolubione Not a dislike but for info some of the pitches require levelling ramps and there were a lot of midges around on an evening

Regarding your points on the facilities and midges:

Facilities & Cleanliness: As mentioned in previous reviews, our team thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the block twice daily. We also leave cleaning items inside the block so guests can wipe down areas between scheduled cleans, though unfortunately, not everyone makes use of them. We appreciate your understanding that a little grass on the floor is bound to happen on a countryside site!

Midges: Thanks for raising this for future guests! Being situated so close to the river, midges can definitely drop by in the evenings at this time of year, so bringing a bit of bug spray along is always a smart move.

To ensure quiet hours are respected, we share the duty warden's phone number with every guest on three separate occasions throughout the booking process so issues can be dealt with immediately on site. Polubione Pitch was very spacious, excellent playing field for kids, washing facilities were good with 3 sinks, 2 microwaves and 2 small fridge freezers.

Site manager was great at twlling the loud caravan people to turn music off at 11pm because they were blasting it.

Niepolubione Toilets/showers are in need of updating as they're old and a bit manky. Showers are tight and only 2 in each of the female and male areas. There is no temperature gauge and just a press button (like at swimming baths) so you need to keep pressing it every 20 seconds ish.

The family bathroom is better as it has space and you can adjust the height and temperature of the shower.

There is 1 washing machine and 1 dryer. Washing machine costs £4 (you need pound coins only) and the dryer is £1 per 15 mins. So plan on needing a minimum of £12 for a load.
Could do with having more as everyone in tents, pods and caravans uses it.

Pitch 1 of the electric hook up tents is at the walkway to the toilet and the way its set up your car would be at one side, tent at the other and path running through the pitch. So personally I'd avoid that pitch.

Shower Block: We know the main showers need updating. Because we can't complete work like this while guests rely on the facilities, we are looking into doing this job over the winter period while camping is closed. (As you noted, our family bathroom does offer adjustable controls in the interim.)

Laundry Pricing: The washing machine is £4 for a 64-minute allowance (covering the 59-minute cycle). Most loads only require about 30 minutes in the dryer (£2 total), so a full wash and dry typically costs around £6.

Pitch 1 Location: Pitch 1 is a favourite for guests who prefer fast access to amenities or have mobility considerations, though we realize its layout isn't the ideal choice for everyone.

Polubione An excellent location on the borders to break a long journey back to Aberdeen. Excellent views and walks so close to town and the Estate grounds near by.
Friendly welcome and very tidy grounds.

Niepolubione Touring pitches on the slope and too close to each other. In my opinion the wash facilities were arguably inadequate for the site.
