Branscombe Airfield and Camping

Polubione Lovely quiet site with spacious pitches and beautiful views overlooking the rolling hills of the surrounding areas. With little light pollution, the skies are dark to see a lots of stars on a clear night.

Weather permitting, small planes take off and land during the day and you can watch them from right at the end of the runway, which was a real treat watching them come in right over your head!

In the morning it was nice to wake up to birdsong, some friendly robins even stopping by to say hello outside our tent.

The bathroom, shower and washing up facilities are clean and well maintained and there's a little shop for your campsite essentials.

There was a small games room open until about 11 pm, as well as a dedicated dog walking area and children's play area for the young ones.

The owners Tracey and Chris are friendly and welcoming and happy to stop and chat when you walk by, or curious as to what light aircrafts will be around during your stay.

On arrival there was a pizza van serving delicious and reasonably priced pizzas campers who is there a couple of times a week

Polubione Lovely quiet well kept pitches. Secure off lead dog field. Clean and warm bathrooms. A plane took off over us whilst we were there so that was exciting. They had a pizza van there for Friday night too.

Polubione Lovely site, plenty of space. Grass was freshly mown and very short. Large dog exercise field mown to the same standard with lots of tennis ball’s provided. Toilets/showers and washing up facilities all clean and tidy. Owner lives on site and regularly walks around. Definitely one that we’ll be returning to.

Polubione Peaceful site with the added extra of seeing the planes take off and land. Very welcoming owners who keep the site spotless. Loved the Bark Park for our two dogs.

Polubione Really lovely staff, and the site is really well maintained. Toilets, showers and washing up facilities are all spot on.

Niepolubione Only minor gripe is that it's quite a rocky site that makes pitching tents a little tricky, but it was totally fine and we were there on a windy night. They do say that it's rocky in the description however so you can't really say fairer than that.

Polubione We had great information from Tracey before hand. We were checked in promptly and given a pick of pitches. The facilities were clean and well looked after. Tracey was very friendly. The views from the site were fantastic

Niepolubione Only less one star because the ground really is very rocky - we only picked up on this with the info that was sent to us after booking (our error I think!). Bring some strong pegs and a mallet!

Polubione Really spacious pitches. We had a hard standing with EHU for our Motorhome for one night. Plenty of toilets & showers for the size of the site & the showers we used were really clean & well kept. We were running late on arrival day so I emailed to let reception know & they text me back saying no problem at all, ring on arrival. Lovely friendly welcome. They sometimes have a pizza van there too so check when booking as we’d eaten en route & we wouldn’t have if we’d known. Sadly too cloudy for any plane take offs which we had been hoping to catch but we’d definitely book again & stay a few nights next time

Polubione Good size field to pick your choice of spot, all the amenities needed even a shop and fames room, like that in the shower cubical there was a toilet wash basin and shower all in one room.

Niepolubione One of the showers was little slow, but there a good amount of showers not a great issue

Polubione Friendly staff, adorable dogs, clean and safe pitches. Toilets and showers were great. Lovely peaceful area was a nice clear evening so a great view of the stars. Would highly recommend
