Ik was blij met Our first stay at Charlie’s and it definitely won’t be our last. So glad we turned our 1 night stay into 2 nights.
We arrived on Friday evening to a busy pub but, regardless of this, we had an instant warm welcome and we were shown to our pitch straight away.
The pitches are immaculate, large and nice and level. The site is very pretty, with lovely views from the pitches. Each pitch has its own wooden picnic bench, which was much appreciated by us because we forgot our table.
The toilets and showers are modern, warm and are kept very clean.
The pub itself is an absolute gem, cosy, full of charm and friendly staff and the home cooked food is amazing. The mixed grill is a belly-buster!! We saved some sausages for a butty the next morning. Thank you Susan!
We did a lovely 7.5 mile circular walk from the site, across public footpaths and farmland, finished off with a pint of Guinness and the most amazing sausage roll from the pub.
At 8:30pm on Saturday they had bingo in the pub, which definitely livened
things up! I was pleased to call my first ever house and got a nice bottle of red wine for my prize. The husband also called on a line and won a free drink, so definitely give the bingo a go.

Ik was blij met Good size pitches which had electric and water attached so that was really handy.
Staff were really friendly and very helpful.
The pub itself was great, ate in there on the Saturday night and the food was fantastic and a really good sized meal.
The toilets and showers were kept clean
This was the second time we'd stayed here and we wouldn't of come back if we didn't like it.
Would defo recommend to friends

Ik was niet blij met Not a dislike, just an opinion really.
The grey waste sink was a little awkward to empty our waste master as had to lift it up and balance it on the sink, quite difficult when is full. Don't think the wife would have been able to manage it

Ik was blij met Really friendly staff in a lovely quiet location. The facilities were really clean and the pitch was level and well kept. We also had a lovely meal in the onsite pub. Highly recommended, we will go back.

Ik was blij met Brilliant site. Very quiet, beautiful scenery, relaxing. The managers were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The toilets and showers were very clean, the water piping hot. Lots of lovely walks to be had in all directions. There is water and electricity on the pitch and every pitch has a new picnic bench which is great. The pitches are spacious so you are not on top of anyone else. There is a large play area and some little goats as well. The pub is lovely, cosy and welcoming, the food is delicious and the site and the pub are reasonable prices. We would definately stay again.

NIce pub, excellent meals and fun entertainment (Free pizza with bingo!)

Ik was niet blij met Unmanned campsite office seems quite common
No Wi-fi at pitches (advertised)

Ik was blij met We stayed two nights (our second time here) in our TentBox alongside friends who were using their campervan. We thought all the staff were very friendy and helpful. The meals are excellent. We loved the Friday music night (although the acoustic set really didnt need amplification as the pub is not that large). We loved the pubs first Bingo night (and our table of 6 won 4 prizes! ). The toilet shower block is kept clean.

Ik was niet blij met Luke warm water in the mens shower on our second morning (it was cool outside so maybe effects the water temperature?). When the site is busy, I can see the mens block only having one shower, being a problem. There are two in the Ladies. Also only having one sink, means that if somene is wet shaving, you cant use the sink after using the toilet. Maybe removing the urinals and installing another sink/shower would be a good move?

I think you must have missed our other x2 Shower Toilet Facilities etc.
So in Total we have ,
x3 Male Showers / x4 Female Showers inc all Wash Facilities w/c's etc.
These other Blocks are separate to the Male Toilet Shower Block !!
