This was our second visit this year, we love the peace and quiet here! Great facilities, Adrian the site owner is always around if you need anything as well. Great walks around the area and a lovely pub about a mile up the road - what more could you want?

The owners and location were superb.

The woodland camping spots were beautiful and certainly sheltered us from being pelted by the cold november rain.

I will certainly be back next autumn to try out the field camping.

Cefn Coed has something magical about it. We normally choose a field pitch but my partner really wanted to park up in the woodlands area. And I'm so glad we did, it was so beautiful. I love how each pitch has its own little area with different views along the forest. When you walk around the site it has so many different little areas for camping, mainly for tents but there's a few spots in the woods for vans. It's in a great location for exploring the surrounding areas. We walked along the Mawddach trail from the site up to a lovely little pub, George III with the most amazing views over the Estuary. We done walks from the site which led again to beautiful views overlooking the Estuary from up high. There was a hidden little picnic area along the way. We drove 45 mins to venture to our latest challenge and climbed Snowdon, again absolutely amazing. It was great being able to go out on these trips and come back to the peace and quiet of our little secluded pitch in the woods. A short walk took us up to the amenities which included, hot showers, toilets, clean water for drinking and a washing up area all which were clean. We also rented a fire pit with logs etc and any other little bits you might need in the little shop. There is a phone outside the shop if you need to contact the owner which we used and was able to get hold of them straight away. If you don't fancy cooking you can even order authentic Thai green curry cooked by the owner. I highly recommend this it was absolutely gorgeous, there are other options too but we had the chicken Thai green. I would like to thank the owners for their friendly and helpful approach to our stay it's definitely this which also makes the campsite that bit special. We will be back. Oh and we got to see the milky way! Stars are amazing.

Incredibly well appointed and beautifully designed site, with spotlessly clean facilities, farm shop and decent pub/restaurant on site - all with a focus on sustainability and comfort.
The hot tub was amazing, with a view out over the fields but plenty of privacy from others on site.
Paid wifi available additionally, but didn’t need it as we had decent 4G signal.
Staff were welcoming, and the girl who served us breakfast was delightful.
Well priced considering everything available - would recommend this site to anyone!

Nothing. Perhaps the cheese I bought in the farm shop was a bit on the pricey side - but you’d expect that, and it was delicious.

We were welcomed warmly by Adrian and the chickens roaming freely. We stayed in a woodland pitch which had a beautiful view over the forest and Cadair Idris. There are a number of really nice walks on foot from the campsite and it's only a short 15min drive to Cadair Idris. We also visited the lovely little town of Barmouth about 20min drive away which had some lovely trails up in the hills overlooking the sea. Adrian was really helpful in recommending us places to visit and forage and we were given the tour of the land and choice of all the pitches available.

We got a vegan Thai red curry and Thai green curry (which were absolutely delicious!) delivered to our pitch. So warm and nourishing and just what was needed after a long day of hiking and delivered in compostable packaging too.

The campsite also seemed to attract very friendly people, not disturbed or any trouble at all.

We will definitely be back.
