Mi è piaciuto A Nice quiet field shielded by woodland on two sides. Mowed and level with Bantams and geese free roaming. Friendly lady running the place. Close to Bishops Lydeard railway station and brewery.
Non mi è piaciuto I wouldn't go as far as saying I disliked the toilets and shower facilities but they were rather basic, housed in mobile units and a little tatty from the exterior. I also needed to hold the shower valve open with one hand, although when I did, the water was at least hot and copious. My wife used another shower and the lock was missing.

Non mi è piaciuto The toilets absolutely stick and were filthy
The shower: pressure was great but, they were also dirty and fixed too high. The time in between pressing the on button and the shower turning off was ridiculously short
Charging £5 per night per dog for two yorkshire terriers was the most expensive to date

Dal gestore: Unfortunately you arrived very late in the evening for a one night stay and failed to check in. I didn’t have the opportunity to advise that our toilet trailer hadn’t been emptied that day as scheduled due to driver illness in the company. There were however back up portaloos available and all our facilities are cleaned multiple times a day. Our Pricing is very clear. I did not charge you any extra when you presented late for checkout the next day and asked to stay longer. I also did not charge you for the extra vehicle. Push button taps are set to a commercial standard and cannot be adjusted. We use commercial cleaning products in all our facilities.Hope that clarifies.

Mi è piaciuto Loved meeting the owner who was lovely and friendly and explained what was in the area. In each of their 5 showers they provided body wash, shampoo and conditioner. There was even a box of sport activity toys for children. I loved the rustic charm of the site that's hidden but still close to village. I felt safe as line women camping. There was also plenty of space between pitches and it was lovely and quiet during the night. I enjoyed a drink or two at the award winning brewery and got lots of photos of the SWT steam trains also nearby.
The trains destination is Minehead do saves driving.

Mi è piaciuto Wonderful site, very clean and tidy. Family owned and run and they are always onsite doing things and are very approachable. Pitches of a good size and water readily available. Not far to walk to the nearest pubs and village. Great dog walking although it is a mile to get there, you can walk around the site with no issues too. Guests that were there were either families or couples. The kids will love the livestock (chickens and hens etc) roaming around. would I go back? yes !!!
Non mi è piaciuto The toilets although working were a little dated and there was a smell when flushed but I assume it was a compost toilet, they are cleaned daily. There are some portacabin toilets too and seemed better, although we did go there when the weather was so hot and they were like a sauna. its the only little niggle but dont be put off by that.

Mi è piaciuto Great site very friendly and helpful owner. Great to sit there in the early morning with a cuppa and listen to the steam trains steaming up. Good location with some lovely local walks. Dog friendly. Five minute walk to the local Quantock brewery and the WSR Steam heritage railway with it's 22 mile line to Minehead. 👍🏻
