Sutton Hoo Holidays Campsite

A aimé Small site with friendly visitors. Owners friendly. Quiet other than road noise - I hardly noticed it, but my wife did. I would definitely revisit.

A aimé Great communication and directions. Large reasonably flat pitch with privacy bushes. Water and electric on pitch with waste. We didn’t use showers or toilets but looked at them and they appeared cleaned and well maintained. Ideal location for visiting Sutton Hoo 10 minute walk away. Close to Woodbridge, lovely town. Owner came over to visit day after arrival to check all ok.
Slight road noise but didn’t bother us. No noise from farm. No noise at night. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return

A aimé Clean well maintained facilities. Hot water. Good directions to location. A hedged individual plot. Helpful friendly and informative management on site.
Visit Woodbridge to see the reconstruction of a Saxon longship underway. Woodbridge museum and the High Street.

A aimé We enjoyed our stay at this site, it's small and quiet the kids spent most of their time playing outside. The facilities where good, the showers given it's a grass/sand pitch not the cleanest but acceptable the owners where lovely.

N'a pas aimé The absolute giant spider above the exit sign in the disabled/bath room. Couldn't get the wifi to work probably due to the distance but we had starlink anyway. Our drain on our pitch didn't drain very well and flooded but that was about it no issues. No major issues.

A aimé Spacious pitches with privacy hedges between, well maintained site with hot showers. Toilets were always clean and we loved the fire pit and logs for £10. Garrow and Helen are so welcoming and lovely. We had excellent communication and clear directions and instructions so would definitely recommend and we would stay again.

N'a pas aimé The road is noisy first thing so would recommend ear plugs which we got after an early wake up the first morning and after that it was fine so bring ear plugs!!

A aimé Excellent location and very peaceful. Mostly more mature campers which suits me. The owners are lovely and accommodating.

N'a pas aimé The toilet and shower facilities are very dated, tatty and in desperate need of refurbishment. Also not as clean as I remember since my last visit.

A aimé Good bathroom facilities. Pitches are sizeable all with your own tap. Good dog field. Great access to the east part of Suffolk.

N'a pas aimé Noise from the main road can be quite loud early morning as you are in a farming area.

A aimé It’s a lovely small, flat site with lots of space on each pitch. Check in is super efficient and there aren’t all the rules that other campsites have, but every one was very respectful as a result so it was lovely.

The showers are lovely and warm and there’s masses of space for the children to play. It’s very convenient for a Sutton Hoo visit and to walk into Woodbridge.

There were a group of teenagers staying on the site when we were there. They were really quiet and respectful and no bother at all - I hope their parents get to read this.

N'a pas aimé There are two showers in the women’s and two in the men’s so you sometimes have to come back.
