Sutton Hoo Holidays Campsite

Likte: Nicely laid out, spacious, serviced pitches. Nice warm toilet shower block and and information hut.
This was the perfect autumn site, well placed for a couple of days exploring Sutton Hoo.

Likte: We have stayed here before, lovely little site and very friendly and helpful owners. The pitches , all with electric hook-ups, water and grey waste facilities are spacious and level. Within strolling distance to the amazing Sutton Hoo burial site with great walks down to the river Deben. The picturesque town of Woodbridge with its good selection of restaurants and traditional high street is just a ten minute drive away.

Likte: Pitches are around the edge of the field with hedges separaging them and leaving the central area open, which gives anice feel to the place. The toilets and showers are well maintained. Free wifi. Very handy for the Sutton Hoo National Trust archaelogical site.

Likte ikke: The entrance is a very much a farmyard and once you turn in the signs directing you to the site are small, so we missed them at first.

Likte: We liked the large serviced grass pitch separated by a little hedge for privacy. The toilet block was clean, had two showers and toilets and there was additional wet room toilet facilities available with a bath. Dish washing sinks as well. Play area for young children.
The site itself was just a five minute walk from the National Trust Sutton Hoo estate. This is a working farm so expect some vehicle noise. This and the road noise didn’t bother us. We enjoyed staying here and would come again.

Likte ikke: On arrival your name should be against a pitch number, this hadn’t happened but a quick phone call to Helen sorted it out within minutes.

We couldn’t see our grey waste disposal point at first but finally found it along the hedge of our pitch. Perhaps a marker would help.

Likte ikke: Being given a plot number when arrived only to find someone else had taken it. When contacted host , had no reply or follow up!
Shower space too small and only 2 of them.

Fra bestyreren: I am so sorry there was a mix up with your pitch, and that I wasn’t there to sort things out for you. I was away and my husband hadn’t realised there was a problem. If the showers in the ladies or gents are too small, the family bathroom is also available and has more space. I do hope you will visit again so we can give you a better experience.

Likte: Small but perfect for our needs. A two night catch up with friends.
Flat, friendly, clean and accessible. Woodbridge nearby is walkable and so is local pub with great food.
National Trust Sutton Hoo was on site and a great visit.
