A aimé : What a cracker of a site. Small but friendly, absolutely spotless showers, the pub is great, so welcoming and took my dog inside. The staff are great. Accommodated my requests, what a little gem of a site. Came home for 2 days and booked back up for another 4 nights 😁

A aimé : Just to a massive thank you, we had an amazing time despite only one night as on way to Scotland, definitely will visit again a great place and everyone really helpful especially one of the bar staff, didn’t get her name. And a brilliant music night too a bonus and thoroughly enjoyed well done all. Please publish if useful. Hope to see you all again Peter and Angela

A aimé : Friendly welcome on arrival, clean and tidy pitch and toilets and showers were clean. We ate at the pub where staff were friendly and informative about local area.
Food at the pub was beautiful and very filling.

A aimé : Second time here in 6 weeks & had another great stay. Burgers, fries & Pizzas hut open this time, very tasty. The Charlie Bassett team are friendly & work so hard. An impressive show of traction engines were in the car park, ponies & trap too. It’s a lovely sight to see. Great views, lovely walks off site. Clean facilities, level pitches. A great find, even if I came here on my own I would still have a great time. A lot of improvement is taking place.

A aimé : We have just arrived back from an enjoyable 3 night stay. Great location for local attractions (Alton Towers/ Monkey Forest etc). Toilets are lovely and clean, could do with more mens, but we did notice the additional unisex toilet by the pub entrance on the last day. Washing up water nice and hot. Views from the beer garden are beautiful and a good beer selection in the pub.

N'a pas aimé: The pitches aren't level as the site is on a gentle slope. Not overly an issue for us, but I would recommend taking levelling blocks if you have them.

Just to Clarify all the Gravel Pitch's are perfectly Level x9 of them
Gras Pitch's are slightly unlevel but this is one of our ongoing objectives to sort as time goes on .
and yes there are additional Toilets and showers at the TOP OF THE SITE BY THE PUB .

A aimé : Although alittle off the beaten track, thie location is in beautiful countryside with spacious pitches.The facilities, toilets and showers ,looked brand new and very clean. On arrival the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The site is adjacent to the pub with large garden and play area so family friendly..and safe. We ate in the pub and had the biggest home made pies ever! Delicious and good value for money.
Shame we could only stay one night, as it's a great place for exploring the ara
