Me gustó Location, beautiful part of the world, and a Good pub with food to the left and right of leaving site short drive.

No me gustó No food available, no set times for bar, when they want to go you go, but to be fair they have the place up for sale so interest waiting. Would be a great opportunity for a enthusiastic couple to take it to the next level.

Cafe/bar is open 9 till 3,then late night Friday and Saturday 9 till late.Sunday we usually close at 3 ,but has it was bank holiday we stayed open later.
You asked for food Sunday evening,which unfortunately we do not do.
I mentioned to you the restaurant down the road ,you came back and I closed when you finished your drinks.
Has for a 3 for cleanliness,the showers are brand new andlike ensuits and are kept emasculate
That’s why most people are giving us 10/10.
Sorry Brookhouse was not for you.Most campsites don’t have a cafe/bar..

Pub onsite thats welcoming, the host was always pleasant and I would be happy to atay again.

Del administrador: Sorry I cannot understand this comment, as the lodges are not advertised with on suite. And everyone has use of our new communal shower block. And there are porta toilets by the lodges.

Me gustó Stunning location, the adults only field is right next to the river. The bathrooms are lovely, warm and clean.

No me gustó For others to be aware that the toilets are a short walk from the camping field.

Me gustó Great location, plenty to do in the surrounding area but also out of the way. Clean and tidy site.

No me gustó The showers were cold, another guest explained that we needed to turn on the hot water on the boiler in the washing up area to get hot water.
When we went for breakfast in the cafe we were told it was only baps as we hadn’t ordered the previous evening.
I believe both issues could have been resolved with a simple pamphlet on how the site is run on arrival so that we were able to make the most of our stay.
Another guest had ordered a fire pit from reception (even with the current government rules on open fires in place). After lighting they were told “it only takes one spark” by the owner, the guest offered to move the fire over (away from their lodge) the owner agreed only to tell them before she left that “wood for fires was only to be purchased on site and not bought from other retailers”.
The site rules again not being very clear.

Me gustó Beautiful surroundings, Bed was super comfortable and had a bed for our toddler too. Heater in the lodge was much appreciated for the chilly nights.

No me gustó We had a fab time but just a few tiny tweaks could have made it even better. Milk was provided (though it was a month out of date) in hotel style pots but no tea bags or coffee or sugar. We had brought our own so we were fine but was strange to have the empty caddies in the lodge.
There was a sleep mask left over from a previous occupant under the bed and cobwebs between the fridge and washing up bowl and the bed frame. We didn't mind but could see how some people might.

We weren't shown where the toilets/showers/washing up was so we didn't know about switching on the boiler before hand. The mops for cleaning the floor in the showers had a broken strainer so you couldn't properly strain the water off the mop so the floors were always very wet.
We weren't told about needing to order breakfast the night before if you needed it.

delicious pizza,
Ability to charge phones in cafe,
Could pitch tents together as a group

No me gustó Improvement to the infrastructure would really elevate the site - better road to lower fields, outside kitchen for families to wash up, opening of more than 2 showers and 3 toilets for whole site (plus guests to cafe), low level lighting for night, pricing and availability of services clearer for all guests
