Brook House Farm Camping and Caravan Site

Syntes om Nice quiet well maintained site, small cafe/bar onsite and a number of takeaways within a 15 minute drive.

Syntes ikke om Only 2 out of the 4 shower blocks had toilets in and the other 2 which only had showers were locked for most of our stay, I did observe the owner unlocking one of the shower rooms one morning which gave additional capacity, shame this wasn’t done in the evening when showers with toilets were being used by the bar guests making the floor quite dirty,

Syntes om Lovely, clean and well-maintained campsite with a nice little café/bar on site. We were still able to get drinks from the bar on Saturday evening despite there being a private party taking place, which was a nice touch.

The site was very quiet on the Sunday night, with only a few guests around, so it was perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay away from the crowds.

Syntes ikke om Fishing is advertised as being available online, but when we asked about it, we were told it wasn’t possible due to the drought, which is understandable. However, there were still quite a few people fishing around the site, so this was a little confusing.

Only 2 of the 4 shower blocks were open during our stay. On the Saturday night, the private party in the bar meant the toilets and shower blocks were particularly busy. By Sunday, however, the site was almost empty, with only a handful of guests, and the café/bar closed in the afternoon.

There were no electric sockets available for campers, other than those in the café, so this is worth bearing in mind if you need access to electricity.

Fra bestyreren: Thank you for your lovely review,fishing is advertised and we are allowing people to fish the river due to lack of water in the pool.
All showers were open,maybe they were in use.
We are open long hours Friday and Saturday,Sunday we go with the flow.We finish normally at 3 but if customers are in we actually closed at 5.
All you have to do is ask for electric and we provide.Cafe is open a lot of hours to provide this.
There was a party and band and all customers were told they were welcome to listen to the band and bar was open till late.
Hope you will visit again .

Syntes om Fantastic place to stay, friendly staff and great atmosphere. The lodge was clean and had everything you needed for a weekend away. I will be staying again in the future.

Syntes om Small quiet site in the country close to 3 National Trust Properties, good walks and quaint towns. The Potting Shed cafe on site is great and the staff friendly.

Syntes om Amazing spacious lodge, Lovely & clean very well maintained site

We are aware of Darren's comments on our behaviour which is nothing but lies. Our drone was off by 9.30pm & we were in bed by 11.15pm on both evenings. We have 2 young children so I can assure you we were not all drunk and abusive to each other. I suggest for future reference Darren to not be such a kill joy trying to ruin our camping outdoor experience and maybe head to church instead. P.s lay off the hot dogs 😀

Fra bestyreren: This group of people turned up on site.They could not speak English,There was a young girl interpreting for them.They were insisting on going into the adult field to set up,I explained adults only.They were all around me shouting,I could not understand a word they were saying.
The little girl said they did not want to set up in the family field,they wanted to go into the adult field by the river.To go swimming.I told them no swimming in the river.Then they pointed to the fishing pool,doing the arm movements,go swimming in the pond.By this time they were doing a lot of shouting.Another camper came over to me.He said how intimidating they were been.Especially in front of all the children.
Then they got in there cars shouting abuse which I could not understand.
They set off up the bank making wheel spins,I could not even see the car for dust.
Then the second car did not make it up the bank.Instead of putting car in reverse,he let it free wheel down and went straight into the fence of the shepherds hut.
Then eventually got to the top.Were they stopped to check the damage to his car.
The lovely young girl apologised,saying the brakes weren’t working properly on the car.They got back in there car and both drove off at night speed.
There were lots of people in the cafe garden,dust went everywhere.
I do not think they should give this review,when they did not even pitch up,we do not advertise swimming.

Syntes om ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely beautiful stay!
From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful the whole place was. The main house and grounds are absolutely stunning and so well cared for — you can really see how much love, time and effort Julie and her husband have put into creating such a special place.
We loved the café/bar and the lovely atmosphere, especially seeing local people enjoying afternoon tea and cyclists stopping by. Pizza night was absolutely delicious, and the little shop had a great selection of lovely items to browse.
Our pod was fantastic — peaceful, private and beautifully secluded around the pond. The toilet and shower facilities were brilliant, and having the additional porta toilet was a really useful touch.
The whole place has such a relaxing energy. The staff and hosts were genuinely lovely, welcoming and friendly. You can really see how involved they are and how proud they are of what they have created. Even though they were busy, they still took the time to stop and speak to us, which we really appreciated.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning. We’re already planning to bring our friends next time, as the pods are laid out so well for groups to stay together while still having their own space.
A beautiful place, wonderful hosts and a fantastic experience. We highly recommend it! ❤️
