- The café/bar is open daily on bank holiday weekends and school holidays from 9am until late. On all other dates it is open: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 9am to 4pm; Fridays from 9am until late; and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. It is closed on Mondays.

Sito ben curato con personale cordiale e disponibile. Apprezzate la bella posizione, le strutture pulite (docce rinnovate) e il caffè/bar interno con buon cibo. Alcuni hanno notato pochi bagni/docce nei momenti di punta e difficoltà di accesso senza auto. Molti vorrebbero tornare.

Dal gestore: This group of people turned up on site.They could not speak English,There was a young girl interpreting for them.They were insisting on going into the adult field to set up,I explained adults only.They were all around me shouting,I could not understand a word they were saying.
The little girl said they did not want to set up in the family field,they wanted to go into the adult field by the river.To go swimming.I told them no swimming in the river.Then they pointed to the fishing pool,doing the arm movements,go swimming in the pond.By this time they were doing a lot of shouting.Another camper came over to me.He said how intimidating they were been.Especially in front of all the children.
Then they got in there cars shouting abuse which I could not understand.
They set off up the bank making wheel spins,I could not even see the car for dust.
Then the second car did not make it up the bank.Instead of putting car in reverse,he let it free wheel down and went straight into the fence of the shepherds hut.
Then eventually got to the top.Were they stopped to check the damage to his car.
The lovely young girl apologised,saying the brakes weren’t working properly on the car.They got back in there car and both drove off at night speed.
There were lots of people in the cafe garden,dust went everywhere.
I do not think they should give this review,when they did not even pitch up,we do not advertise swimming.

Non mi è piaciuto Lack of visible staff presence. Some very disruptive guests flying drones, playing loud music and being drunk/abusive to each other.

Dal gestore: I have tried to call you . I am shocked to hear this..We are in the cafe/bar till late,which was 1130 I was outside sitting talking to one of my local customers.I then always check the toilet block and then have a check on the site.Unfortunately I did not witness any of this.We are renowned for been a quite site.
I am sorry you experienced this,we are about in the cafe bar from8.30 in the morning,until late at weekends.Also always at the end of the phone.
I wish you had come in to the cafe the next morning.
Sorry I can not rectify things unless I made aware.

Mi è piaciuto A beautiful and well maintained site.
My lodge was in excellent condition and well set out. The toilet and shower rooms were spotless and as for the cafe top marks. The food was excellent and well presented. Lastly the staff, all were professional and friendly and nothing was to much to ask if you needed any help.
A very relaxing site where you are sure to make new friends.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely views from the tent area, nice big plots. The pub and shop were great, nice food and drinks being served, with a great seating area.
Non mi è piaciuto 3 unisex flushing toilets didn’t seem enough for the whole site, two ran out of toilet roll and weren’t replaced until we had packed up the next day. Really easy / cheap fix for the toilet roll situation is to fit a new toilet roll holder in each loo to ensure there is always a back up supply as this won’t have been the only time this has happened

Dal gestore: Thank you for your review,are shower block is brand new this season with 4 toilets,4 showers which have power showers in them.Always check toilet paper last think and first thing in a morning.They have brand new toilet paper dispenser with jumbo toilet rolls which can last up to three days.sorry you experienced this.Also we have disposable toilets down on the camping field well.Plenty for the size of our small site.Has our reviews show,people say the shower block is deluxe for a camp site.

Lovely friendly campsite with clean and modern toilets/showers, onside cafe/bar was reasonably priced and a welcome addition.

Mi è piaciuto The setting, the cafe, and Sam was very welcoming to the children letting them feed the sheep and bringing a little chicken for them to look at. Showers nice and warm too.
