Me gustó Great family campsite. Extremely clean facilities at all times during our 5 day stay. A lovely play area on site for the children. The proximity to the zoo was perfect for a day out. We will definitely be back soon.

Me gustó We had a brilliant time, beautifully clean, maintained and well looked after. Ablutions were a pleasure. Lovely entertainment foe the kids. I would highly recommend. Very helpful, thank you.

Me gustó Small well equipped family campsite. A small supermarket, butcher and pub are in short walking distance.

No me gustó You can hear animals from the zoo during the night, this can be quite adventurous for some people, a bit less for others. They are not too loud anyway.

Me gustó I like the set up of the site, the bathrooms were clean and tidy, nice large pitches. Friendy staff. Open spaces, food wagons arrival on sone nights, lots fir children to do with different players grounds.

No me gustó Not much to dislike, our pitch was dog friendly, but it had two lots of dog mess on it, I am a dog owner and wouldn't leave dog mess on the pitch, also there was a lot of little bits of rubbish egg shells paper plastic I just felt that it was the occupiers of the pitch before not cleaning up before they left. But pitches should be checked

We're sorry to hear your pitch wasn't as clean as expected on arrival. All pitches are checked following departures and regularly inspected throughout the day, but on this occasion it appears we missed some debris, and we apologise for that.
As a dog-friendly park, we ask that all dogs are kept on leads and that owners clean up after their pets, with several dog waste bins available around the park for guest use.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to welcome you back to Applewood again soon.

Me gustó We had a fantastic stay at Applewood Countryside Park. The site was very well maintained, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing camping trip.

The children’s play area was brilliant and kept the kids entertained, and we loved exploring the woodland trail with all the games and activities along the way. It’s also a very dog-friendly site, although we left our dog at home this time.

One of the highlights was the location right next to the zoo. It was incredibly convenient to walk over, and in the evening we could hear the animals making all sorts of interesting sounds, which added to the experience.

We also liked that there was the option of a later check-out for those who wanted a more relaxed departure, even though we didn’t use it ourselves.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun and relaxing break.

Me gustó The whole experience at Applewood was delightful. The whole site was very well maintained and well set out. The showers and toilet facilities were very clean and the washing up area was good with plenty of hot water, but there was only 2 sinks. Whilst not being a problem when we were there, maybe when the site was full there could be. The staff were very helpful and friendly, they cleared up our pitch hiccup on arrival in a very professional manner.
