Gostou I like the set up of the site, the bathrooms were clean and tidy, nice large pitches. Friendy staff. Open spaces, food wagons arrival on sone nights, lots fir children to do with different players grounds.

Não gostou Not much to dislike, our pitch was dog friendly, but it had two lots of dog mess on it, I am a dog owner and wouldn't leave dog mess on the pitch, also there was a lot of little bits of rubbish egg shells paper plastic I just felt that it was the occupiers of the pitch before not cleaning up before they left. But pitches should be checked

We're sorry to hear your pitch wasn't as clean as expected on arrival. All pitches are checked following departures and regularly inspected throughout the day, but on this occasion it appears we missed some debris, and we apologise for that.
As a dog-friendly park, we ask that all dogs are kept on leads and that owners clean up after their pets, with several dog waste bins available around the park for guest use.

Gostou We had a fantastic stay at Applewood Countryside Park. The site was very well maintained, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing camping trip.

The children’s play area was brilliant and kept the kids entertained, and we loved exploring the woodland trail with all the games and activities along the way. It’s also a very dog-friendly site, although we left our dog at home this time.

One of the highlights was the location right next to the zoo. It was incredibly convenient to walk over, and in the evening we could hear the animals making all sorts of interesting sounds, which added to the experience.

We also liked that there was the option of a later check-out for those who wanted a more relaxed departure, even though we didn’t use it ourselves.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun and relaxing break.

Gostou The whole experience at Applewood was delightful. The whole site was very well maintained and well set out. The showers and toilet facilities were very clean and the washing up area was good with plenty of hot water, but there was only 2 sinks. Whilst not being a problem when we were there, maybe when the site was full there could be. The staff were very helpful and friendly, they cleared up our pitch hiccup on arrival in a very professional manner.

Gostou Clean site & plenty of space. The zoo next door is very good.

Não gostou Pitchup messed up the booking. We go camp a lot & been here before but it’s changed & was like being at school with all the rules. Some staff was willing to help

We're sorry there was some confusion with the booking on arrival. We did our best to accommodate both bookings; however, the tents were larger than the pitch type reserved, which meant we needed to ensure the correct spacing between units was maintained. While we appreciate this may have been frustrating, these spacing requirements are in place to help keep all our guests safe and comfortable during their stay.

Gostou Showers were good, and camp site was clean

Não gostou The he pitches are massive however we were told our tent was too big.
I felt like I was at school with a person with a clipboard kept coming around and checking on us. 5pm we were asked to turn our music down as there was too must base in the music. My little speaker wasn’t even half way up. We ended up leaving a day early.

We did our best to accommodate your party on arrival; however, the pitch size booked was not suitable for the size of the tents, and we needed to ensure the correct spacing was maintained for the safety and comfort of all guests on the park.

Gostou Space was generous. Toilet / shower facilities were generally always clean. Shower was really well sized. Play field was huge! Lovely woodland walk on the edge of the field which is great for shade or a run around. Play park was well maintained and kept the 7&3 yr olds happy for a long time. You aren't sitting on your neighbours tent with the 6m rule which is really nice. Staff were really lovely and informative about the area and gave lots of information. Always someone checking on the site which was comforting to see. Free wifi! Zoo on your doorstep!

Não gostou Nothing about the campsite. The animals are fairly loud (mostly the birds and monkey's) in the evening when it goes dark but expected given the location.
