Toilets very good. We enjoyed our stay and will return in the summer.

Me gustó The shower block was very clean and the water was hot

No me gustó The washing up area was not under cover (canopy) and it started to rain so unable to complete

Our pitch was low down the field and we found the walk to the toilet block by the entrance quite steep

Me gustó Lovely hot tub and nice little setting. Was cheap and cheerful.

No me gustó Not as clean as would have liked and no internet. Lady at office was rude when asked about internet.

We do not have WIFI on site this is not advertised or charged for and we apologise that you felt we were being rude this was not our intention.

The housekeeping have been made aware that the lodge was not as clean as you expected but we were unable to give them feedback regarding any specific issues with cleanliness and were not made aware of any issues whilst you were on site. We do pride ourselves with high standards and are sorry on this occasion you were disappointed.

Me gustó Lovely site with clean showers and toilets. Staff at site were very welcoming especially to our little girl.

Me gustó Nice lay out, plenty of space between pitches. Nice park for children. Shame the large wooden toilet block in the middle wasn’t open. Only one at the top of site. Nice helpful staff.

No me gustó Bit dark at the entrance.

Me gustó Unfortunely i couldnt pitch my tent as it was really bad weather but i did visit the site and it looked really nice. The lodges looked really pretty and there were caravans pitched on the site and some brave people had set their tent up even though it was raining and very cold. I will definetly be back when the weather is sunnier though.

Me gustó Peaceful site with clean facilities, very friendly staff. Location easy to find, lots of places of interest not too far. Pitch was fully serviced and electric included. Spacious pitch and dog friendly.

Me gustó Lovely quiet and relaxing stay here in the countryside. Facilities were very good and clean. I had a lovely walk and was so glad to be away for a few nights even though it was freezing!

Me gustó Location very nice; rural but not too far from facilities/shops. Fabulous wildlife - we were met by a baby osprey or young falcon. The site’s also not very big, which we really liked - nice number of spaces. The toilet /shower block is a portacabin but very warm, very clean and modern. Price was reasonable. There’s a small children’s play area at the bottom of the field.

No me gustó The site does need a bit of TLC. The tracks and pitches need more gravel. They’re a little neglected. The elsan point was very unhygienic. There are no fully serviced pitches and the waste water is outside the campsite in the car park, up a very steep hill beyond reception. Washing up is outside and not undercover; fine in summer but not so great in the winter.

Our primary issue however was that we’d paid for a week in advance, but due to a family crisis, we needed to leave two days early. We gave several days notice, and asked if we might have a credit, if a refund wasn’t possible, as we were planning to come back to the area soon. The response was totally unhelpful; a refund was apparently not possible, and a credit for the two nights we had to cut shut was also not forthcoming as it was apparently “too difficult”.

We were aware that you would be leaving early and yes it is difficult to break a stay up. You did call to see us and then called late one evening the emergency on call phone, we were unable to help at this point as the office was closed but agreed that you come see us in the morning which you did not do so we were unable to help you further at this point.
We are sorry if there was any confusion.

We note your comments about the fully serviced pitches we do have both fully serviced and hard standing pitches onsite.

Me gustó Good location. Easy access and close to local amenities. Very clean toilet block.

No me gustó New toilet block is a long distance from most of the pitches (should have refurbished the original block centrally located). Quite grumpy receptionist/warden.
