What customers say
This site offers a peaceful woodland setting with friendly, helpful staff. Visitors praised the clean, modern washrooms, many highlighting them as a key positive. Families appreciated the playground, and the site is considered good for dog walks. While some spots are sloped and a walk to facilities may be required from certain areas, many found the spaciousness and overall cleanliness made for a relaxing stay.

Liked Location of site was good. toilet and shower block were nice and Modern and clean.
Availability of fully serviced pitches
Disliked The fully serviced pitches are tight to back into especially of, like we experienced, there are people camping directly opposite and their cars are at the front of the pitch. Also due to the weather with it being so wet everywhere was muddy. Ended up having to get other campers to help us push the caravan into place and then unstick the car from the mud.
The WiFi was not operational during our visit.
Not the campsites fault but for the first time we encountered rude campers which put a dampener on the trip for me.

Excellent site, friendly and helpful staff, very clean facilities.
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked I liked the pieceful and calm feeling of the site, which was very clean and tidy.
Disliked I did not like that there was not any air freshers in the mens toilet/shower block or any urinal blocks as each time on entering there was a slight foul smell in the air, even with the windows slightly opened.

Lovely gem of a find and recommended

Liked Beautiful site and very well kept. The lady was extremely helpful as was the gentleman who came round to check on everyone. There are a small number of things for sale in the office if you need them, although out of the site there are so village stores too.
Toilets and showered were kept as clean as they could possibly be given the horrendous rain which did bring muddy feet into the facilities - the staff did amazing trying to battle it. I was also able to change from a grass pitch to a hard standing one as my car just could get into the grass with it being so wet and muddy - wheelslins all the way 😂. Was definitely not an issue and was moved straight away.
Disliked Very hard to fault anything as the team work so hard and from some of the replies to other reviews I see there are some plans re the infrastructure. The only three things that come to mind is the disused toilet block needs looking at as the smell is quite bad when the breeze is in the wrong direction. The ceiling above the showers and toilets could do with being painted in a Matt type of paint. At the moment it is high gloss which shows the reflection of the person either sat on the loo or in the shower. My daughter must be bored when suing the toilet being able to find this out lol. The other suggestion would be to have some sort of canopy over the washing up area.
But people, this really is a fabulous site and worth every penny. Will certainly be returning.

Great site, Lodge and hot tub, perfect for a family of 4.
Premium Woodland lodge (hot tub)
Liked Lodge was lovely, perfect for our Family of 4, I think it would be a very tight squeeze for 6 people if I'm being honest. The hot tub was lovely clean and warm ready for our arrival, site was quiet which was just what we wanted, we opened the curtains every morning to wildlife, birds and squirrels it was so lovely to see and my children loved it. The town was nice and there was local shops and takeaways nearby. Staff were great, very welcoming and friendly. Toilet facilities at the actual park were nice and clean. The park on site was great for the kids, lots of field area for them to run about on.
Disliked The lodge hadn't be cleaned under the seating area when we arrived, We had to clean up the previous guests chips off the floor which was dissapointing but we just got on with it, all the lodges back on to a road where I was woken up early due to traffic some mornings, we had to request towels as they were not initially provided, and we needed a bath mat throughout our stay, when I mentioned it at checkout that it would be good to provide bath mats, they apologised and said we should have had one put in ready for our arrival but kust have been missing along with the towels. A hairdryer would have also been useful so I gave this feedback as most hotels or caravans provide hairdryers these days and is one less thing to pack. When we first arrived I had to ask about sleeping arrangements as we were missing parts of the back seating area which turned into the bed, when I phoned to check I was told something had happened with previous guests and so they presumed with it just being the 4 of us we would just use the sofa bed in the main seating area, when I stated no one had let me know or even advised me during check in and that making a sofa bed every day was not convenient they quickly replaced parts of the seating area so that we could use it at the back and not remake every day. The ladders to the mezzanine had to be constantly manned as my 2 year old loved going up and down, its wasn't ideal but not a deal breaker. No WiFi on site.

Liked Very spacious. Well kept. In a lovely picturesque surroundings watching the sunrise. The toilets and shower rooms are kept very clean. Lots of hot water. In a location 30mins drive from Mansfield, derby and Nottingham.
Disliked Very hilly and the hard standing areas are flat ish, but if you have an awning like we did, it was on a slope.

Liked Beautiful area, on a nice quiet site with clean utilities and a nicely thought out space. There is also plenty to do nearby.
Disliked It is a shame the shower cupicles don't have either a seat to sit on, or a handrail for people to hols while trying to dress after showering as balancing can be tricky if the floor is wet.
