If you haven’t got a set of wheels or can’t face the hassle of driving, it can be tricky to go off the beaten track. Outdoor accommodation specialist has come up with a simple solution. They have sourced three sites close to the UK’s best public transport links, yet in relaxing rural locations, meaning you can leave the car behind and still enjoy the fun of the country.

Riverside Caravan Park – Stratford-upon-Avon, from £7.08pppn

Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire: has availability on its Hobbit Hut Mini at Riverside Caravan Park throughout September with prices starting from £85.00 for a four-night stay based on three people sharing (£7.08pppn).

Offering various accommodation including quirky hobbit huts and cosy camping snugs, the Riverside Caravan Park offers an excellent position close to the heart of historic Stratford-upon-Avon. The on-site bar/restaurant offers stunning views over the River Avon and Welcombe Hill, and the charming town centre can be reached by a scenic river taxi ride.

Situated on an aquadrome and surrounded by water, Billing Aquadrome is set in 235 acres of Northamptonshire parkland and is host to a range of activities and attractions. Northampton rail station is just four miles away and is under an hour’s train journey from London stations. Northampton also has direct links with other big stations across the country.

Adventure in the Meadow, Lothian from £10.00pppn

Gorebridge, Lothian: has availability on its Kokoon camping pods at Adventure in the Meadow this September with prices starting from £40 for a two-night stay based on two people sharing (£10.00pppn).

Surrounded by fantastic countryside views yet just a short bus ride from the city of Edinburgh, Adventure in the Meadow is situated in the grounds of the beautiful Kirkhill Mansion which boasts many fantastic leisure facilities available for guests to use. Barbecues and campfires enhance the camping experience, however if guests are too tired to cook they can simply stroll to the award-winning gastropub, The Sun Inn, just down the road.
