Powered gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Good sized pitch plenty space, kids park was good sized.
Ideal covered area for cooking if weather is poor!
Disliked Not the sites fault but it’s a bit too far out from Keswick, we usually like a walk into town for a beer.
That’s my fault for not doing my research first

Powered grass and gravel campervan campsite
Liked Everything, Quirky campsite that’s tried to consider everyone. Adult only option camping is a good idea and well positioned away from play park. Toilets are designed well in sheds with loads of air flow might not be to everyone’s taste but I loved the fact they got rid of the horrible campsite toilet smell you get early doors. Pitch was massive and accommodated us next to friends which was great! I think give this campsite a few year to mature could very easy be the best in the northeast.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Plenty space. Fire allowed. Close to a beautiful village with church that’s nice for a walk. Beers decent.
Disliked We used the pub for food, which took 2 hours to be served. Young waiter tried his best but clearly new to role and not much support felt a bit sorry for him. Chef told him to tell us they wanted to serve bigger tables first so out meal was kept getting put back. Food hardly worth the wait in the end.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite (six person)
Liked We stayed on the tent pitches but in our campervan, there was access to a camping kitchen which was immaculately clean and well thought out. The showers and toilets in this part of the site were also very clean and spacious.
The onsite pub was excellent and really welcomed part of our stay as it was a very cold night, the staff were all very friendly as were the locals who used this bar. My 3 year old likes to talk to everyone and say hello to every dog he meets, every one was very friendly.
The lady who greeted is in reception gave us one of the most friendly welcomes I’ve had at any campsite, she again was very welcoming to our 3 year old.
Considering it’s early March and super cold, this is EASILY one of the best camps we have had and can’t wait to get back in the summer.

Liked Excellent clean facilities, pitch was the biggest we have stayed on. Little shop with all the little things you need. Would 100% return.
Disliked Kids will be kids but some of the older kids didn’t consider the smaller children on the park. I had to personally tell one to get down off the roof of the climbing frame.

Mitchell's Field powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We were welcomed by a friendly gentleman who showed us to our pitch. This is our first ever camp out in our motor home for our small son (Theo) the site was very clean and well maintained. The pitch was a nice size. The toilet and shower block is up there with the best I’ve seen and we have camper all over the country! The pub is also a nice little addition.
