Liked Exceptionally clean and tidy site. Pitches are very private with high hedges.

Liked Able to pick you own pitch, some of which are riverside.
Walking distance from town & restaurants.
Great for visiting Lyon and Beaujolais wine region.
Disliked Dirty showers and toilets. One block was closed causing queues.
The washing machines require tokens from reception (5 euros). As there are only 2 machines people were queuing day and night to use them.
The washing up area was not signposted which meant people were washing clothes in the same sinks as crockery.
Many of the chalets had noisy groups in them.

Power optional grass travel trailer or tent campsite
Liked Location
Disliked The 1 euro tokens for the showers last a very short time and stop without notice. Hot water in the hand basins also need a token.
Nearly all the plots are static with long term residents, this makes you feel like you are intruding.
Residents leave very early in the morning. We were in a plot right next to the carpark and were awoken every morning with revving engines and fumes.

Disliked Not a true dislike but, there is a possible extra charge for electricity usage, but you don't know how much usage triggers this.
We have not paid extra in the 3 times we have stopped here- so it may not impact anyone with normal usage.

From the manager: Dear Brett, Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the friendliness of our team, the pools and lagoon, as well as the location of the campsite, which is ideal for exploring the area and visiting Nantes 😊. Regarding water access, the campsite has two dedicated water points: one located at the entrance of the sanitary block and another at the motorhome service area near the campsite entrance. Our team is always available at reception to assist and guide guests if needed. The showers operate with a water-saving control fob. The allocated time is intentionally sufficient to allow several showers during the day, while encouraging responsible water use. Thank you again for your feedback, which helps us continue to improve our guests’ experience. Kind regards, The Bois Joli Team

Power optional grass and gravel travel trailer campsite (plus)
Liked Location near San Sebastian, with frequent bus to the city. Note, this is not a campsite shuttle bus, but is a paid for city bus.
Disliked Tiny sloping pitch, which was very difficult to get our small 2 berth caravan on to. Location faced the bins, a high concrete wall and a gate to the camper park over the road with a loud buzzer, so it was very noisy.
Had to ask where the water was located and was told to use the camper hose down a steep hill. The toilet shabby and covered with graffiti. Also you had to use the washing up sinks to wash your hands if you used the urinals. The working shower (only half) ran cold. Half the washing up sinks only had old water. As this was the most expensive site, twice the price of all others, on our 7 stop holiday I would have expected it not to be the worse site we stopped at.

From the manager: Hello Brett, Thank you for taking time to post your comnent. There was actually a birthday celebration in the marquee the night you are complaining about. The firework by the lake took place at 10pm and they ended partying at 11pm. During summer there are events every other saturday such as concerts, zumba, dinner dances, etc. They all end at 11pm. Our new function room is under construction that's why we settled a marquee by the lake for the convenience of all our campers especially when it's raining. We are planning to move this marquee at a remote pitch but we have earthwork to do and it can't be done yet. About the shower tokens it lasts 8 minutes and the water is hot, no one is complaining about that. Have a great day. Our campsite is tranquil 99% of the time, sorry you were disturbed from 8pm to 11pm that day. Best regards
