Liked Good clean facilities. Not too far from beach and quiet atmosphere
. pitch was big and had areas of shade. A good stay.
Disliked Pool was very small but there was always the beach. Did a very long journey and planned on having meal in the restaurant but on arrival told it was mussels and frites night and had to book and no other option. Would have been nice to have had a meal but ended up driving to Soulac Village which was nice. Quite expensive for a pitch but it was a good quality.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feed back ! We're really glad you appreciated the clean facilities, the peaceful atmosphere, the spacious shaded pitch, and the proximity to the beach — it's great to know you had a good stay overall. We’re sorry to hear that the restaurant setup on mussels & fries night didn’t meet your expectations after a long journey. Your comment is helpful, and we'll look into how we can better communicate dining options in the future. As for the pool, we understand it’s on the smaller side — but as you mentioned, the beach is thankfully close by for a refreshing swim! Thank you again for your honest feedback, and we’d love the chance to welcome you back another time!

Power optional grass RV campsite
Liked Very rural and back to nature. This is a very basic site and facilities were very old (1960’s school toilet block) BUT it only cost a fraction of other sites so all was fine. If you were on a first date trying to impress someone or convince them that camping was the way forward then perhaps no. But for a quick stop over it was absolutely fine. Very relaxed owner who did not speak any English but this made the conversations interesting and the international use of sign language helped. I would stop there again. This could be a really great site with more investment put into it.
Disliked As above but always remember that the price is very low and the owner is not there the rip you off. There is hot water, electricity, toilets and showers.

Liked Nice atmosphere and quirky. Pitch was a lake side and excellent. Secluded and large. Only relatively short drive to Calais so ideal. Having restaurant on site was good and food was nice.
Disliked The restaurant did take an hour to get us 4 burgers and it was nice but they were clearly short staffed and waitress was apologetic. Toilet block was untidy even at 8am but this could have been clients fault and not staff.

Liked We liked the site and went really for the location and it being quite rural. Well stocked market on site and good prices. Bus into Florence was only 10 minute walk and straight into the centre all for 1euro30 each way so hassle free. Pitch size was very good with water and electric. People have said that it’s close to the autostrda which is true but we did not hear any noise. Reception staff were helpful and even let us leave our van in the car park when we checked out so that we could go into Florence. Would recommend.
Disliked Facilities (showers, toilets) very dated and although they are updating things for 2025 more could be done. Pool is good size but I am not sure what chemicals are used but you can’t see more than 1m in front of you. Lifeguard regularly checked water quality. The photo I took of the toilet is just one and I want to stress that the others are in better condition. This one should have been locked or taped off as shards of tiles.

Liked Good and reasonably priced food. Peaceful setting in day and nice location.
Disliked Minor point but obviously a group booking was taken for 2 or 3 families and they were very loud and showed no consideration for others. It took 2 other pitches to ask them to be quiet. This happens on every campsite so was not a big issue.

Liked Big well serviced and well kept pitches. Good quality restaurant and the staff were excellent. Kayak hire on site. Staff really looked after this site and entertainment was varied.
Disliked The swimming pool was good but could do with more supervision as very busy and rules were being broken. Young children were having to be careful and groups of teenagers were jumping in and playing rough ball games. We just had to picked quiet times and get out when groups arrived.

Liked A really well maintained site. Exactly as described on Pitch up website. Small and very quiet. Although a steep walk into New Quay it was fine with two children (7 and 9) and a nice evening stroll. Facilities were very clean and well maintained and the pitches had great views with lots of space. The owners were friendly and just let us get on with things and were there if needed. The price was very reasonable and I would have no reservations in going back. I have put 5 stars for facilities as for what we wanted it was perfect but some may prefer pools and kids clubs etc...

Liked Amazing view of the lake from our pitch. Short walk to showers. Lake is great to cycle around and the site has 2 great pools. Good bar and food on site if needed and there is a good entertainments team. You can hire bikes etc and the onsite shop is fine. Staff are friendly and the area is excellent for touring. Ideal for walking, swimming and touring. Lovely villages near by with cheatauneaf just up the road.
On our first night it was a live band but this finished at exactly 11pm and the site was immediately quite.
Disliked The swimming pools were good and the slide was great but I do feel that during peak times then some safety supervision would be needed as some children were boisterous and disobeyed the regulations which meant that young children were constantly avoiding being jumped on of having full water bottles thrown at them whilst in the pool.

Liked Simple and just what was described. A very courteous owner. Nice a quiet and close to large town as well as short walk to village for bread etc... Just used as a 1 night stopover on the way back to Calais but we would go back for longer as the area is rich in history.
