Liked Quiet secure site next to a pub that serves brilliant food. Friendly warden well kept site. Next to a pub with great value food and beverages. Canal walk just up a small footpath.
Disliked We arrived early so went into the pub. Spot on lunch. We then drove to the barrier at site. Met by warden who gave all the info required. This included a trip back to the pub to purchase/deposit for a key for the barrier and toilets and showers. Thought warden would have the means to do this task.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, it's nice to know that you enjoyed your stay with us - you had good weather! I'd like to add that there is no rush when you arrive to get the key because either the warden or the pub staff open the barrier initially for you to come in and settle down; you can then collect the key at your leisure.

Liked The very warm welcome by Tom. The neat and tidy site by Tom. Clean facilities by Tom. Pub lunches and dinners where Tom checks your enjoying your stay and tells entertaining stories. Toms help with an electrical problem. Tom is the oil on the cogs of this site. Buses to cheddar stop at pub car park. Pub is superb
Disliked Waving goodbye to Tom.

Liked WE FOUND OUR PITCH FROM THE MAP SUPPLIED, PITCH JUST TAKES A CAR, AWNING AND CARAVAN, WE HAD A GRASS PITCH WHICH WE REQUESTED BUT HARD STANDING PITCHES WERE AVAILABLE AND WERE THE SAME SIZE, TOILETS ARE LOCKED BUT A KEY IS PROVIDED WHICH IS NICE AS CHILDREN CAN NOT GET IN WHILST OUT PLAYING AND GET INTO BOTHER, WE FOUND THE TOILETS AND SHOWERS CLEAN AND WELL SERVICED. THE SITE WAS PEACEFUL AND RELAXING AND THERE WAS A TAKE AWAY ON SITE WHICH WE USED TWICE. SHOP HAD A VERY BASIC SUPPLY OF EMERGENCY ITEMS. STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE WARDEN EVEN RECOMMENDED A LOCAL CHINESE WHICH DELIVERS TO SITE AND WAS EXCELLENT AND SO HOT ON ARRIVAL.
Disliked FAIR DISTANCE TO LOCAL AMENITIES, ROAD LEADING TO NEXT DOOR PROPERTY WAS JUST THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HEDGE WE HAD PITCHED AGAINST WHICH HAD LOTS OF HEAVY TRAFFIC
WHICH IS OUT OF THE CONTROL OF THE MANAGEMENT
FELT VERY TIGHTLY PACKED ON OUR PITCH,

Electric grass pitch
Liked Well, from the day we paid the balance of our pitch cost on the phone, to when we arrived at the barrier and reception, to when we went to the bar and restaurant, to when we left, the staff are absolutely faultless and make this park a holiday amongst friends.Everyone greeted each other and chatted on the way to the best shower block we have used for a long time and I am sure its the fact that the staff took the time to talk reflected in the whole friendliness of the site. The site itself is constantly evolving, there are a set of showers in the tent field to be updated, and the plans are dropped into the conversation by the staff for comment. The 10.00 pm noise curfew is a godsend as is the 08.00curfew end.The touring pitches are a slab of concrete and a gravel area for an awning at different angles to your neighbours so you are never really overlooked. The dog walks are excellent and we found a small enclosed area on site to properly excercise our doberman whippet cross pet who needs to run to aid digestion, Beer was brill, food was brill, site was brill, staff were brill five star stay. An ideal cheep base for Charmouth, Lyme, Seaton, Beer and Sidmouth.
