From the manager: Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re glad you found us a perfect stopover before the ferry, and even more pleased to hear you’d like to stay longer next time. It was lovely to meet you, and we’d be delighted to welcome you back for a more relaxing countryside break whenever you’re passing through again. Best wishes Lauren & Aaron

Liked This is a fantastic sight and I am sure there are wonderful views but we stayed on a dismal, rainy day so not able to appreciate it. Close to Dover ferry port, but a little off the main route.

Liked Location for visiting Maastricht.
Check-in is easy if arriving after 5pm, so long as you check your email! I telephoned and the member of staff was very helpful in telling me what to do.

Powered grass and earth travel trailer, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked A good site with clean facilities. Some nice walks straight from the campsite.
Disliked We stayed during a period of exceptionally heavy rain so our pitch was flooded. Fortunately, being in a campervan we were not too bothered but a tent would have been problematic.

Powered grass campsite
Liked Beautiful, quiet location, even though it is just off the A303. Lovely relaxing views. Showers and toilets were good. There are 2 pubs in Hindon village which is a short walk away. We only stopped by for a drink at The Lamb, staff friendly and welcoming. We briefly met the owner shortly after arrival, otherwise left to our own devices. If you wake up early there can be a wonderful sunrise to view.

Liked Had a free camping feel to it. Fire pits are provided should you want to have a campfire but we were only there for a quick stopover but would normally love to do this.
Disliked Dogs tethered on quite long leads. However, they were well behaved and although barking on arrival they didn't disturb us overnight.
