Bredy Farm itself is lovely... it…

Aug 2026

Liked Bredy Farm itself is lovely... it has great facilities, a nice outdoor/indoor bar and pool area. The staff are all super friendly and helpful and make you feel really welcome. They don't kick the ass out of the price of drinks either. Pints are approx £6. The quiet camping field was lovely and quiet as described, the entrance isnt very wide though so be extremely careful if you're going in there with a caravan. Ours is only a 2 berth and we managed to scrape it along the wall. The showers in this field were free and very clean and hot.

Disliked The toilets in the quiet camping field were absolutely disgusting. For the price paid for the two nights we stayed, we'd have expected nicer facilities than a portaloo.

Lovely site and would stay again

Jul 2026

Liked Very quiet relaxing site. The camping field is to the right as you come down the lane on an elevated bit so you can see for a long way over the tops. The lane is a bit bumpy but if you slow down, its not too bad. We stayed on a pitch with no electric, owner just told us to pitch wherever which worked well. Everyone very respectful of this. Good phone signal. Not far from an Aldi supermarket by car.

Disliked Didn't really affect us, but the toilets and showers are down quite a long steep hill. Not ideal if your mobility isn't great.

Lovely stay at Bank End Waters

Jul 2026

Liked Really liked Bank End Waters. Its a lovely, well organised site with big hardstanding service pitches. Very secure with electric gates which are locked from 8pm onwards. The fishing lakes are lovely to walk around and have good drainage, so no muddy feet or dogs. The WiFi wasn't working while we were there but it was no issue for us, we had good phone signal. The farm shop has lots of great stuff to buy, we got some Lincolnshire sausages and a lovely Victoria sponge cake. We'll definitely be back.

Disliked The toilet block smelt a bit strange! I think maybe they recycle their water? It was super clean in there though.

Really liked New House Caravan Park.…

Dec 2025

Liked Really liked New House Caravan Park. Getting to site was super easy and there was a sign on the reception window indicating which pitch we were on. Not sure if this is the norm but we were there for new years eve. Pitches are hardstanding and very clean. The site is very close to Kirkby Lonsdale and Booths supermarket. Super clean toilet block and showers, laundrette and washing up room. We were really thankful for the washing up facilities as the water points froze due to the minus temperatures. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Disliked Nothing!

Lovely site 😃

Aug 2025

Liked Lovely site with well maintained pitches. Owner was lovely and came around on our second day to check in with us. Well kept toilet block with two toilets and two showers, plus a family room and washing up area. Great that you can rent fire pits and sit out.

Disliked The only thing we disliked was the local town itself - I think we were a bit too young for it all and definitely brought down the average age! However the site itself is in a lovely quiet spot with lots of great walks straight out the gate.

Lovely site

Jul 2025

Liked We love Grange Farm and visit quite regularly. It's a lovely site, you're left to your own devices. The Wobbly Shop is great for eggs, sweeties and other bits, and you can rent fire pits (or use your own if you have one). Wood and kindling is super reasonably priced. The toilet block is good (although no shower). Lovely sunsets can be seen from all pitches. Close to local amenities, near to a really good takeaway (Wyre Takeout in Hambleton). Morrisons local and dog friendly pub within walking distance.

Disliked No hand soap in the toilet block

Lovely clean site

Jun 2025

Liked Really liked this site. Toilet block was extremely clean and well appointed. The motorhome/touring pitches are of a good size and you could park your caravan or motorhome sideways on. Water is very near to the pitch, just drain your grey water into the hedgerow. Pitches get the sun all day. Very safe site, with a coded barrier for access. There is a bar but it is mostly catered for french visitors (we didn't mind this, it seems most of the static caravans there are owned/rented by French). There was a food van on site the first night we were there and the fries were amazing! We had arrived a little late so no other food was available but the other food the van sold looked very good. Supermarket and petrol station a 3min walk away. Very quiet overnight with no road noise where we were. The site is well kept and cared for by the staff. There is WiFi but this is a paid for facility. Beach nearby but it is part of the nature reserve and you must keep dogs on a lead on this beach.

Disliked No hand wash or toilet rolls in the toilet block - Take your own.

Would love to leave a 5* review but owners don't care about their dogs

Apr 2025

Liked We had a great stay at Clear Sky. The site is lovely, well kept, toilet/shower/washing up block is perfect, underfloor heating is fantastic and the showers are super hot. The location for walks, cycling and pure peace and tranquility is perfect.

Disliked The only thing that let this site down is the owners disregard for their dogs behaviour and fouling. I understand that it is their land, however when one of the site's policies on Pitch-Up is to have dogs on a lead (and I believe it's just a given to pick up your dogs poo), I expect that the owners follow their own rules?! One of the mornings I was coming out of the shower block and one of the owners dogs growled at me (small black and tan dog). It was off the lead, the growl was completely unprovoked as I was just walking by and the female who was nearby at the time called it towards her but didn't put it on a lead. Both me and my husband had seen this dog running free on the site throughout our stay and wondered who it belonged to. The following night two of their dogs fouled on our pitch (see attached pictures). All of which were off the lead, unsupervised. The only saving grace was that one of the owners other dogs ate the poo that it's brother had just left 🤮 I like to think I'm a very tolerant and understanding dog owner - I love all dogs and think the owners dogs are beautiful, however, we wouldn't return based on the points stated.

From the manager: Thank you for leaving a review of our site pleased to hear that you found the site of a high standard but you had a problem with our dogs. It’s such a shame to hear you won’t be returning I would like for you to know that the well being of all of our animals (dogs, sheep, pigs, ferrets ,chickens, guineafoul, Harris hawks) is my own personal priority Please note that dogs must be kept on a lead on site as we had 5 sheep attacked by dogs from the campsite that had to be put down. Our dogs are all retired working dogs that have always worked around livestock and other animals and are not a threat to people, dogs or livestock. If Jackie or myself are working outside on site the dogs maybe with us but certainly not left to roam. When dogs are barking on the campsite our dogs want to investigate. If the small dog growled why did you not speak to the owner who you say was with the dog. The picture you posted of our dog fouling was on the grass that was not part of the campsite or of your pitch your pitch is all hard standing. It is a shame that you could not have come and spoken with us as I do not understand how a dog going to the toilet once can spoil your stay. We try extremely hard to make sure everyone enjoys our site including dogs. I

Loved Orcaber

Sep 2024

Liked We liked everything about Orcaber. The site is so well maintained and clean. Toilet blocks were very clean and also warm too (it got quite cold at night when we were there). Staff really friendly and don't put up with any noise after 11pm. Felt really reassured that they would sort any problems (we had no issues with noise at all). Well stocked little shop on site. We were on one of the fully serviced touring caravan pitches, lots of space on the hard standing, drainage and water direct to pitch. Brilliant for dogs, no mud and you can loop around the whole of the site on the path and then round to the enclosed dog walk. You can walk to Clapham direct from site which we did, and it was a lovely walk.

Disliked Nothing!

From the manager: Thank you for your 10/10 review of our campsite. It is pleasing to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and were impressed with the onsite facilities that we have to offer. We hope to see you again soon. Kind Regards Orcaber Team

Lovely site

Aug 2024

Liked Loved everything about this site. Very relaxed. Toilet block is clean and well stocked, has a washing up point if needed (no shower but we were in our touring caravan so just used our own shower). Loved the Wobbly Shop and that you can rent firepits! We'll definitely be back. Lovely pub with good food (Seven Stars) within walking distance.

Lovely site which is well kept and level, but sadly a noisy road

Sep 2023

Liked This site is a really lovely find. It’s in a fantastic spot, close to nice pubs and places to visit such as Settle, Sawley Abbey and Clitheroe. Check in was almost too easy, I arrived, picked my pitch and got pitched up! Texted the owners approx an hour after setting up and everything was fine. The site itself is really clean and well kept, pitches are hard standing and really quite level which helps. I didn’t use the portaloo so can’t comment on that but the water and Elsan points were both well situated for all pitches and kept clean. Lots of nice walks directly from site, straight through a gate across the way and down the little hill into the fields.

Disliked The only thing that sadly lets this site down is the road noise, I know that the owners can’t do anything about this though, it isn’t their fault. The road isn’t a problem during the day/evening, it tends to be the early hours of the morning when the lorries and motorbikes go by which can be really loud.

Lovely site with lovely hosts.

May 2023

Liked Loved Higher Mosserley, hosts are super welcoming and want to ensure you're having a lovely time. The field is perfect, has lovely views and the toilet trailer is perfectly clean and a great, sympathetic way of having toilet facilities in a farm environment. We'll definitely be back.

Disliked The people in the tent higher up on the hill from us didn't observe the quiet hours from 10pm til 8. They were very noisy and inconsiderate of other people. It wouldn't put us off coming back though.

From the manager: Hi Bryony You are so right, Im so sorry you had to experience the noise from another tent. If its any conselation I have reported them to 'Pitchup' and won't have them back on my site again. Thank you for your amazing review, it is much appreicated. Im was thinking of putting together some large, scale, lawn, games, it you think that would be a good idea I would appreicate yoru feedback. Looking forward to seeing you again. Many thanks Julie and Steve
