Liked Welcomed by the friendly owner, we were able to choose our own pitch. Location is excellent. Directly across the road from a lovely beach.
Facilities are spotless. Plenty of hot water and pot wash facilities too.
Picnic benches were a nice bonus.
We ate Breakfast at the cafe across the road, which is also licensed so you can have a drink sat outside in the afternoon.
Visited Findochty had a drink over looking the harbour at the Admirals and had a walk on the beach at Port Gordon. Really nice to be able to stroll along the beach in the evening, this is a site we will definitely return to.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Liked Beautiful setting with the sea below and mountains behind. Phoned the number displayed in the window on arrival and we were then met by a polite young man who showed us which grass pitches we could have. The showers/toilets are immaculate, nice little touches like a hair dryer and female essentials in the loos. My husband is disabled and found the facilities very good and accessible. Lovely little info/laundrette room with home made bakes for sale. We didn’t indulge as we don’t really eat cake, but they looked lovely.
Plenty of hot water at the pot wash.
We visited the Upper Lago hotel for a few drinks. There was a live band on and the atmosphere was great.
Our pitch was quite flat but may need levelling blocks on some pitches.
Disliked The writing could do with replacing on the bins closest to the grass pitches as it seemed to be that others had filled the recycling bin with all sorts.
Not a criticism just an observation that it is wearing off.

Liked Welcoming staff, everyone we encountered throughout our stay was friendly and helpful. Lovely facilities, regularly cleaned and the site is very well maintained.
Large spacious pitches.
Enjoyed visiting the zoo, lovely to be able to visit each day once we had paid in once.
Kids enjoyed the fairground, it was a nice bonus to pay half for the tickets.
Amazing listening to the lions roar at night.
Disliked Not the sites fault but lots of late night traffic outside our caravan, people driving up to use the toilets late at night slamming car doors.
Although the rules clearly ask people not to cut through pitches people kept cutting through, not just kids, parents carrying their dirty pots too whilst we were eating.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're pleased to read you found our staff welcoming and the site to be well maintained. Glad you made good use of your attraction passes and fairground wristbands. We'll feedback to staff about the issues with people crossing your pitch, sorry the behaviour of others had a negative impact on your stay. Kind regards Folly Farm Holiday Park

Liked Friendly owner. Spotless facilities. Great location for visiting Chester, Wrexham, Whitchurch and Beeston castle.
The local village of Tattenhall had a few pubs, a spar, chippy and Indian.
Disliked Only two toilets in the ladies and one in the gents so had to queue as the site was busy. Wouldn’t put us off returning though.

Liked Lovely setting. Ideal for exploring. Visited Gretna, Carlisle and Lockerbie.
The club house is beautiful. Didn’t use the restaurant but it appeared popular and clean.
Fully serviced pitches.
Disliked The shooting noise starts at 9am every morning. Pretty constant throughout sat and sun.
We booked for the fishing but were then told there are no fish as otters had taken up their home in the lake.
Our neighbour said he was also disappointed as that’s why he had booked.
Dog walkers letting their dogs use the camping field behind us as a toilet, off the lead with no supervision . Felt for the campers!
No visible staff about so no deterrent.
Access to the pitches by the camping field are tight if you have a twin axle without a motor mover.
Toilets are a fair walk if you don’t have your own facilities.
Floor quite spongy in showers, felt like it was going to go through.
There were lots of one night stop off caravans/ campers. Expect to be woken early by them packing up as we were there a few days and had different neighbours each night.

Liked Another lovely long Easter weekend spent in such a lovely setting, just peace and quiet and amazing views.
We returned here as enjoyed our stay last year.
Great space for manoeuvring on and off the pitch. No issues with our twin axle caravan.
Facilities nice and clean and love the little kitchen which is much appreciated when washing up after a meal.
Visited Llandudno, Rhyl, Erdigg at Wrexham and Bodnant Gardens whilst staying.
Will return soon.

Liked Location was ideal for Rhudlann and the coast. Spotlessly clean/warm facilities. Friendly warden. who offered an alternative pitch as due to heavy rain the pitch had a large puddle but the pitch we had been allocated was fine for us and the water soon drained. He helped us with our water connection as it’s our first time ‘ fully serviced’ We will definitely be back, hopefully for a longer stay so we can dine at the pub/restaurant as it looked lovely.
Disliked Nothing.
